Hello there,

Hope your day is going well? It's been busy here and I have just had my picture
taken with a bear and Paul Hudson - don’t ask !!! The tension is growing
towards the big game at the weekend and I know many people are having parties
and BBQs to celebrate. I have some friends who are not even in to the sport,
but they are having a party on Saturday where the guests have to wear just
black and white!!! Whatever your doing then enjoy.

TONIGHT AT 6 3O
=============

Join me this evening when we shall be looking on at education, with GCSE
results out today. If you're one of the teenagers ( or parent of a teenager)
getting your GCSE results then I hope the news is good for you. Also, the
latest on the name change campaign {and thanks by the way for the hundreds and
hundreds of votes which have come in}. If you want more details of the final
6, and how to vote, then watch at 6.3Opm Voting will finish at midnight
tonight on the first six finalists. Then we have to do the same again next
week. Also tonight, we shall have a star of the TV show Allo Allo. I shall
say that only once!

YOUR STORIES
============

Thanks for those which have come in so far and keep them coming. If you have
anything you think we should know about, then drop me a line. Don’t forget, if
you have a problem and you think I may be able to help, then drop me a line for
Leave it to Levy. Just a reminder that you can get me at [EMAIL PROTECTED]

QUALIFICATIONS
=============

I did tell you a few days back how I don’t have any "O" or "A" levels and how I
felt about it. I have been amazed at the number of people who have told me that
they to didn’t get any qualifications but are still doing well and that I
should not be bothered in the least. Thanks for those. I guess these days
everyone around me seems to be a graduate and you begin to feel very alone. I
even failed my 11 plus - nothing to be proud of but at least I am honest.

CAR STICKERS
============

I followed another car along Ferensway this morning with a Look North car
sticker in the window and it looked very smart! Would you like one….? If so
then we still do have some but you better be quick. Send me a SAE to Queens
Court in Hull and I will post one off to you. By the way, if the name Look
North gets voted out - then you have a collectors item.

ODDS AND ENDS
==============

Exciting times for Radio Humberside, I somehow feel than for those of us who
are left in Hull this weekend ( and I don’t expect there will be many ) shall
all be glued to the radio station for coverage of the big game. However, my
spies tell me that Radio Humberside have an exciting new sound from next
Tuesday with some fab new jingles. So keep that radio tuned to Humberside at
all times. Fingers crossed for Hull FC who are travelling to Cardiff this
morning. The producers here tried to get me to dye my hair black and white,
then I looked in the mirror and realised there's no need for any dye.

Talking of grooming, apparently men are having to make more of an effort than
ever before. Another survey out today says that women in Yorkshire are more
confident than ever - and as usual, us boys are lagging behind. Great. And
while I'm on about bizarre studies -attention all cat lovers! Scientists at
Lincoln Univseristy are investigating what makes moggies scratch when you're
stroking them - more on that on Look North. If you are reading this in
Lincoln then stay tuned to Radio Lincolnshire and don’t forget again tomorrow
morning the breakfast show will be coming live from the Big Screen in City
Square between 7 and 9 30.

KATIE MELUA
===========

Several people have been asking if we can get Katie Melua on the show one
evening. I know she is hugely popular and her new single sounds as if it has
hit written all over it. We are trying.

PHOTOS
=======

If you are someone you know is a keen photographer then everyday we show a
photograph on Look North. It has become a very popular part of the show and I
am still keen to get in as many pictures as possible. I could do with a few
more wintry pictures and also some from the Beverley and Bridlington areas. You
can send them to me via e mail or a good hard copy in the post.

TEXTING
=======

I did happen to say in yesterday's letter just how much my texting bill is each
month. Well I didn’t say exactly how much ( I was too ashamed). However this
morning I have had an e mail from a lady called Sarah whose bill last month was
£155 pounds for texts alone. Can anyone beat that ?

LAP TOP
=======

On Monday, I said I had spent part of the weekend learning how to use my new
laptop computer - Paul made out I had no social life and was very sad. Whilst
he is probably not far off the mark, I had a letter this morning from a chap
called Colin who said he spent all of his weekend on the lap top and was
offended by Paul's remarks. Colin said he spends on average 12 hours a day on
his computer - he makes even me sound quite normal !!!!

Well better get on, it’s a busy day, join me at 6 30 and if you know anyone who
would like a Levy Letter, then the address they need to go to to register is at
the bottom of the letter.

Thanks for reading,

Peter
