Hi there! No, it’s not Peter this morning. It’s Caroline Davis with your Levy
Letter this morning. As he mentioned last Friday, Peter is away on holiday this
week. So it’ll be myself and Crispin with Look North tonight. I hope you can
join us as we’ve got a very busy show.

On tonight's programme, we'll have the latest on the Yorkshire Wolds and Coast
Primary Care Trust, who are under fire as they close a cancer unit for up to
50% of its opening time. People, who use the Macmillan unit at Bridlington
hospital, say it offers an irreplaceable and important service and are furious
at the news of its reduced opening hours. I’ll have the full story on that for
you.

Recently, Hannah Moffat has been bringing you the story of the illegal mini
motorbikes in our region. They’re a nuisance when they’re ridden in residential
areas, and local residents even say they’re a danger to young children. More
importantly, they’re illegal and many of them are untaxed and uninsured. Local
police have started an initiative to crackdown on these illegal bikes and have
been confiscating many bikes in our area. As Hull City Council begin crushing
these seized bikes, we'll be with those affected by this police crackdown.

TV chef, Jamie Oliver launches his new programme today. He’s back on the case
of healthy eating in schools. We'll be in Market Rasen and will be finding out
about their innovative scheme to get kids to eat more healthily. I think we
could all do with a bit more veg in our meals, couldn’t we?!

We’ll also be meeting a Lincolnshire couple, who are moving into their new
house made of straw. Can you believe this? And we'll be meeting the hopefuls at
the auditions for the Wow Factor. That’s the massive talent competition in our
county and auditions start today. Also, he may have reached his fundraising
target, but there is just no stopping Graham Boanas. He’ll be joining Crispin
and I to tell us all about his next challenge.

Last week, Peter mentioned a competition to win tickets to go see an exclusive
screening of a new BBC One family drama all about Robin Hood. It takes place
tomorrow at the Lawn in Lincoln and as well as the screening, there’ll be some
wonderful food and jugs of ale! Sounds yummy doesn’t it? Well, the winner is
Jen Pettitt from Bardney and the family ticket will be going to Jen. So well
done Jen. I hope you enjoy the evening in Lincoln tomorrow!

That’s all from me. I’ll be with Crispin tonight for the programme at half past
six on BBC One. I hope you can join us.

Enjoy the lovely weather. I think we might be able to sit outside for our lunch
breaks today!

Caroline
