Hi there, it’s Caroline! Yes it’s me here again with the Levy Letter and again
tonight it’ll be me and Crispin for Look North. I hope you can join us. It's a
huge night for football fans as Scunthorpe face the might of Aston Villa. We'll
be live at the ground with the fans and of course, we wish them loads of luck!

Also on tonight's programme, we'll have an exclusive story on the row over
whether paramedics should have stab vests or not. We'll be asking why
Lincolnshire crews are not getting the same protection as crews in
Nottinghamshire and what more can be done to protect our important emergency
service workers. More on that later.

We'll also be remembering the Lincolnshire people killed at the Egypt bombings
last year. Four people from Lincolnshire were killed in a bomb attack in Sharm
El Sheikh last year and in London today they’re being remembered at a national
memorial service. We’ll be paying tribute to those killed in Egypt and passing
our condolences to the families.

We’ll also have a special report on a new flood prevention scheme on the River
Humber. It’s the biggest flood defence scheme of its kind in Europe and should
help protect thousands of homes in North Lincolnshire from future flooding. And
find out why the acclaimed actress, Maureen Lipman, is in the region as she
joins us on the programme.

Last night on the programme, we were live at the screening of the new BBC One
drama, Robin Hood. Our Levy Letter competition winners were there and as I was
looking through the Look North email inbox this morning, I saw this lovely note
from the winner of the family tickets, Jen Pettitt. Take a look at this. “Thank
you very much for the tickets for the premiere of Robin Hood at The Lawn in
Lincoln. The medieval banquet with roast lamb and mint sauce, pork and apple
sauce, wild boar sausages and vegetable soup was delicious. It was a great
pleasure to meet "a previous Robin Hood", the famous Richard Todd. It was a
thrill to watch the first episode and very interesting to learn about the
making of the series during the question time. The medieval musicians added to
the atmosphere. This was a memorable evening for all our family.” Thanks Jen,
we’re really glad you enjoyed yourself!

And talk of all that food is making me hungry. So that’s it from the Levy
Letter today. I’ll go in search of some grub! I hope you can join me and
Crispin tonight.

Take care,

Caroline
