Good morning! It’s Crispin here. Yes, it’s all change again today and the Levy
Letter is coming from me today. Look North will be with me and Caroline again
tonight. Many thanks for all your lovely comments welcoming me and Caroline to
the programme. They are all much appreciated and of course, we look forward to
reading your comments about the programme.

We invited emails and phone messages from you last night after our interview
with Dr David Bellamy about the issue of wind farms in our region. What an
interesting man he is? And with a view not normally put forward from an
ecologist. Well, we just ran out of time to include your thoughts on wind farms
on the programme. Here’s one of them though. Take a look. This one comes from
Duncan, he says, “I have just seen the news article on tonight's Look North
regarding wind power. It is true that we need to do something about global
warming and I firmly believe renewable environmentally sound resources are the
way forward, but I have to agree with Mr Bellamy regarding wind. Solar panels
are a more effective way of harnessing green energy and are much more efficient
than wind powered turbines. It can’t always be windy, but you can always
guarantee there will be daylight!” So thanks to Duncan for that one. If you’ve
got a view about wind farms, then let us hear about it. I know man!
y of you are upset about wind farms being built near where you live, so get in
touch and let me know what you think about them. Are they a good idea? Will
they help save the environment? Or, like Dr Bellamy suggested, are they simply
a waste of time and will not provide a substantial amount of electricity? Get
in touch to our email address of [EMAIL PROTECTED]

On tonight’s programme, we’ll be with a furious couple from a small
Lincolnshire village. Now, how would you like to be woken up every morning by a
convoy of thirty bin lorries? Well, this couple have had enough of broken sleep
and early wake up calls as the lorries drive past their house and they’re
taking their local council to task over this. Caroline and I will have the full
story tonight on the programme for you.

Also tonight, we’ll be meeting the East Coast fishermen, who say they are under
siege from huge French trawlers. They say they are destroying their lobster
fishing grounds and putting their livelihoods at risk. They’re at their wits
end and I’ll have their story for you tonight.

And as Hull City Council try to force drivers out of the city centre with
increases in parking tickets, we’ll be finding out from them what are the
alternatives. If you’re a driver, who frequently has to drive into Hull city
centre for work and experience the problems with gridlock during rush hour or
have to pay exorbitant parking prices, then get in touch. We want to hear your
comments before we chat to Hull City Council today. So get in touch as soon as
you can with your comments. Email us at [EMAIL PROTECTED]

And as Caroline mentioned yesterday, our competition winners will be getting
ready today to go the exclusive screening of the new BBC family drama of Robin
Hood, being held at the Lawns in Lincoln tonight. The medieval theme is all set
with musicians and a banquet with legs of lamb and jugs of ale. We’ll be
talking to the producer of this new series, to find out how he thinks he will
fare in the Autumn ratings war on our television schedules.

So join me and Caroline tonight on BBC One at 6.30pm for tonight’s Look North.

Take care,

Crispin
