[Audyssey] got it working
Hey all. i got sd registered. figured out why it was acting like that. it was looking for the id of windows as in xp and probably earlier and since vista stores its files differently, i couldn't find it, so i looked on the net and found a .reg file that fixed the issue. --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. i know. but i think it's a vista issue unless someone can say differently it only happens when i load the keygen file. tried it with uac enabled and disabled and with it disabled, nothing happened, except when i went the long way around and even then, it failed. just wish there was a keygen that was vista compliant but the demo still works. wish someone could update the keygen to make it vista compliant. Hi, Sounds good. I should bbe able to give you a download link for STFC sometime today/tonight. I have just starteduploading all the files to the USA Games web server and it should have most of the big stuff on the server with in three or four hours. As for my scripts and web pages that is another matter. Changing domains like I did resulted in me having to do quite a bit of editing before I reupload those to the server. Re: [Audyssey] Smugglers4 Jaws compatibility updates
Well unfortunately Jaws access to the game is stil being worked on. The recent update was said to improve things though, though how well it does I'm afraid I don't know, - actually with hal, everything in 1.1B seems to look exactly the same way it did before. Most certainly Yes, and absolutely, totally, completely, unassuredly, sincerely, distinctly, deffinately, utterly, unreservedly yes! smugglers 4 has even more replay value than S3, and that had a fair amount (though could get a bit slow with the trading). Sinse S4 is much more mission and battle based though if you want to go down that route, everything in the game you play. You can also vary things by the style you play, what profession and methods you choose to use in the game etc. Beware the Grue! [Audyssey] a jaws question
hi list. sorry I no this is a gaming list but wondering if someone could please advise me about the following issue i'm experiencing with jaws ten the latest version. before anyone suggests it I have already tried asking sight and sound tech support about this issue but they appear to be morons and the guy i spoke to had no idea. basically the problem i'm experiencing particularly with long e mail messages such as list digests is if there is a bit of text I want to select for example a subject of a message within the digest I want to reply to, I use shift and one of the arrow keys to make my selection, and jaws reads it correctly. however then I do control c to copy the text, and I then go and get completely the wrong bit of text copied. I also am some times experiencing this issue on web pages. I am fairly sure its not corrupt jaws settings as I have heard of at least one other person who is experiencing this. so just wondering are other people noticing this issue, or have you solved it and if so how? as I am finding it very frustrating and annoying. --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. Re: [Audyssey] USA Games Web Site
Hi Shaun and all, Yes, the site is temperarily off line at the moment for updating. My host and i decided the best thing to do was blow away the web account and start over from scratch. There were some various account settings etc that were causing us lots of grief on the new server, and instead of trying to resolve them all one by one we felt it would be quicker just to dump the account and start with a stock fresh account. I have plans to begin setting up the site today so by Monday or Tuesday we should have something more or less functional. Smile. [Audyssey] Backup speedup?
Hi. Well, I'm just preparing to leave my flat and go to my parents for christmas. Of course, this means taking my laptop, and two pretty major backup sessions, - one from my desktop to my external harddrive (which I'll be taking home as well), and one from the hd to my laptop. Doing these things every three or four weeks insures that I always have coppies of everything. it is however a rather time consuming process, sinse not only do I have to wait for the files to copy across both ways, but also i have to decide which folders I can simply copy and replace, and what organizational changes I've made to the new copies. Often, i just delete the old backups, though deleting can actually take a fair while as well considdering my 7 gb music folder and my 10 gb audio folder (which i use for both audio books and work related audio articals). I was wondering if there's a way to make this process easier, or at least automate it so that I can leave it ticking while I go off and do other things. I'm sorry if this is getting slightly too far Ot, though of course I'll be backing up all my games, favourites, and extra game content such as lone wolf missions and rail racer tracks too. Any advice would be much appreciated. Beware the grue! Dark. --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. Re: [Audyssey] What games are people playing now?
I'm just waiting for the next mk game. I know I'm jumping the gun and all, but... I still can't wait -Original Message- From: gamers-boun...@audyssey.org [mailto:gamers-boun...@audyssey.org] On Behalf Of Yohandy Sent: Saturday, December 20, 2008 11:35 PM To: Gamers Discussion list Subject: Re: [Audyssey] What games are people playing now? actually one thing the mk dev team was planning on adding was invulnerability. For instance Sub-zero would be able to shrug off Superman's ice breath, however they couldn't do this due to lack of time. They also couldn't find moves for every character and it would've been unbalanced. it would've been awesome though. - Original Message - From: "Thomas Ward" To: "Gamers Discussion list" Sent: Saturday, December 20, 2008 9:21 AM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] What games are people playing now? > Hi, > That would be an interesting set of matches. Re: [Audyssey] USA Games Web Site
Fortunately Tom things aren't as bad as they could've been. Because of a combination of a huge amount of things to do this week and me being cautious and waiting for you to officially get the pb games running before I fixed links to them (it reduces the amount of forum reportsw), I haven't done anything with the usa games links yet. Once again, when all game links are up and running, please let me know and I'll start working on them, - and that includes Mota. Beware the Grue! Dark. - Original Message - From: "Thomas Ward" To: "Gamers Discussion list" Sent: Sunday, December 21, 2008 2:26 AM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] USA Games Web Site Hi, Well, before you start linking anything to the USA Games Interactive web site you might want to wait until I get everything fixed. My web host and I are talking about blowing away the old account and recreating the web site account fresh so everything works properly. If that happens when I upload the updated web site things may or may not necessarily be in the same place. Your web site isn't the only one that is broken. Poor Dark just got done linking audiogames.net to my web site and everything, and i do mean, everything is broken. Poor guy.
