I think this is referring to something different: a query in the FROM
clause is different from a query in the WHERE clause. In the FROM
clause, you're using the SQL to create an artificial data source, a
"Derived Table" in VFP terms. In the WHERE clause, you're filtering
the data in the SELECT port
and on business continuity and
disaster recovery.

How many versions of VFP do you work with? I have a couple of versions
installed, in order to support clients who are locked in for some
reason or another.
Learn, use and master 3, because that's the future. Fall back to 2 if
you run into that (rare) app that still requires it. It's okay to keep

Thanks, Mike! I hadn't see vDOS before. Gave it a runthrough and it
looks promising.
Patch Tuesday. Probably overkill, but it
has fixed a lot of outstanding support calls when things just stopped

Janis was a 2013 winner of the FoxPro Lifetime Achievement Award [1],

When my son and I visited the Computer Museum when it was still in
Boston [1], they had an exhibit on the timelines of computers. An
ASR-22 was in the first glass case. That skips a century of Babbage
machines, Enigma devices, ENIAC, etc., but it sure rocked me back
