Re: [JAWS-Users] secondary language and voice

2018-05-12 Thread Hans Pauli Sundstein

Hi Holger.

Goto the Jaws window "Insert+j" and select Language submenu, and open this
with right arrow.

Arrow down to "Voice profiles" submenu, and open this.
Arrow up to "Create new" and press enter.
Follow the instructions in the dialogbox, and when done, remember to save
the spanish profile as the default profile.
This will make it possible for you to change between the languages, by using
the Insert+ctrl+s menu.

Hi Christóbal.

How much ram do you have on your computer?
Probably it can be a problem, causing to less ram.

I never recomend's a computer running Windows 10, Jaws 2018 and Microsoft

Even with this setup, it sometimes can be a problem, when tables are very

Hope you find a solution for your problem.

Hello list,

So, I’ve been having problems with Jaws and large tables. As part of my
business, I work with one vendor that sends out assignments via email to bid
on. Jaws will often get sluggish or pause for a few seconds as I arrow down
the columns and will frequently crash outright. It’s become so much of an
issue that I’ve started to switch to NVDA when receiving one of these
emails. I find myself even having to go into the task manager at times to
kill any JFW processes in order to get Jaws back.

I’m currently on the latest JFW 2018, but these issues were also present in
earlier versions of JFW 2018 as well as JFW 18. I’m using Outlook 2016 on a
Windows 10 desktop. This sluggishness also happens when I access the same
emails on my laptop with the same operating specs.

I use both eloquence with Jaws and NVDA. Again, NVDA seems to handle these
tables fine.

I reached out to Freedom Scientific with my problem and they wrote back
saying that they couldn’t reproduce my issue. So…

I was wondering if others were perhaps having similar problems with tables
and Jaws? I’ll go ahead and paste a sample email I get below.

Any input would be appreciated.

Hi Michele.

Laptop's of different type's, have the functionkey for disabling the

Try fn+F6, and see if it helps.

Otherwise you must find someone to see on your laptop, to recognize the key.

Is it a new laptop, you can be in the situation, that all the F-keys are
funktioning as multimedia keys, and you shalll therefore not use the fn-key.
It is just a little fustrating, every time when alt+f4 has to be used, here
alt+fn+f4 must be pressed together, for closing the app.

Hope you get a little bit further by this small tips.

It should be possible, but it depends not on JAWS, but on whatever programme
you are using to resize, and whether it lets you do it with the keyboard.
You can do this in MS Paint, but I remember trying this years ago and the

Hi Tom.

As i wrote earlyer, you should be able to se what is found as you have typed
2-3 or more letters of the name or e-mail address.
But there is no script for Jaws to handle this dialogbox, therefor you must
press the tab key, to get the result available, and read the result with
insert+up arrow.

You can continue typing more letters untill you find the correct receiver of
the e-mail, and than go on with the subject and text field.

I know that this is'nt just as accessible as you knew from Window Eyes, but

I won’t write about this any more because I’m as tired of writing about it
as you are of hearing about it. I have the latest version of Window Eyes,
the latest version of NVDA, and the latest version of JAWS on my Windows 7
64-bit Pro computer. Selecting E-mail recipients by typing in the To field
works perfectly for me in Window-Eyes.I start hearing suggestions, and
arrowing through the list, they are spoken and can be selected. In JAWS,
nothing is spoken, and no suggestions appear. The Read Current Line and
arrow keys only read my typed text. When I tab out and back into the field,
only my typed text appears. In NVDA, likewise, when I start typing in the To
field, I can only read my typed text. If I arrow down or up, I still only
hear my typed text. However, if I tab out and then back into the field, I
hear the first suggestion spoken. If I were to type some letters and arrow
down twice and then tab out and back, I would hear the third suggestion in
the To field. These results would be expected. Thus, the suggestion
information is populating properly, but NVDA won’t read it. Strange indeed.
Thanks so much for everyone’s help.

2017-05-23 Thread Hans Pauli Sundstein

Hi.

Windows Defender works fine, press the Windows button, and type defender and
press enter.

Select which type of scan to run and press the scan button.
At the end of the scan it is my suggestion, that there shows a result
screen, but it disappear's after a few second's, so it is'nt possible as
Jaws user to read this information, ... the only accessibility problem that
i find using defender.

I have never had a situation, where Defender has found infection on my
computer, so i cannot describe how the cleanup dialogbox work's.

Mike,

The important, relatively recent development is that screenreader users no
longer need to install JAWS Access Bridge in order for them to work with
Java. JAB is now incorporated into the download. JAB used to be a nightmare.

Java is now produced by Oracle, which bought out its developer, Sun Micro.

Re: [JAWS-Users] JFW demo version

2017-03-11 Thread Hans Pauli Sundstein

Hi Donna.

If you install a full package of Jaws on a computer, without a licence, Jaws
will run in 40 minute mode every time the computer is rebooted.

Be aware of, that many computers with Windows 10 are set up to only goto
sleep mode when shutdown the computer, and Jaws will therefor not work after
a new start of the computer.
Goto power management to change this, so the computer really shut's down
when selecting this, and get a fresh start of windows, when turning on again
and Jaws will run in 40 minute mode.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Multiplication of MS Word pages

2017-02-01 Thread Hans Pauli Sundstein

Hi.

Regarding which font and size you have pasted the text into the document
with, you'll get less space on each line in the Word document, and it'll
automatically expand to a larger page size.

If you highlight the entire document, and change the font to e.g. Times New
Roman 11 pt. than you will reduce the amount of pages in the document.

Hi,

I am running JFW 18, Windows 10, and MS Word 2016.

When I open a document when another document is already open I have a lot of
trouble getting Jaws to focus on the newly opened document. Jaws+T says
that I am in the new document. However, Jaws will not read the document and
focus returns to the previous document.

Sometimes I can move the Jaws cursor to text in the newly opened document
and route the PC cursor to the Jaws cursor. However, this only works part
of the time.

Sometimes I can resolve the problem by alt-tabbing to another program and
then alt-tabbing back to the newly opened document. But, again, this works
only part of the time.

Sometimes I can resolve the problem by restarting Jaws.

I have tried going back to the default user settings (control+spacebar, Z).
That does not resolve the problem.

Does anyone have any ideas?

believe press enter, not sure if you have to or not. The results come up in
the traditional style your list view is set to. Tab out of the edit box to
find them when there are any. Caps lock page down may possibly tell you
something about the progress of the search attempt. Backspace to go back to

Hi.

You have to goto the Windows Update, Installed updates, and remove the
kb2952664, kb3035583, and kb3112343.
Don't restart the computer between each removal, but remove all 3 updates
before restart.
When the computer is Restarted, goto the Windows Update, and search for
updates, but don't install the updates, but goto the Recommended updates
link, and see, that the just removed updates again is ready for install.
Uncheck the checkbox by each of these updates, and use the contextmenu
button to get acces to the "Hide update".
When these 3 updates are unchecked and hided, Win10 should no longer be able
to install automatically.

I Can't garanty, that Microsoft not later comes with a new update, that will
try to get all Windows Users to upgrade to Win10, but let's see.

Anna, I'm no expert, but your question made me rethink my response I was
going to offer. kb3035583 does not provide any security patch to a
vulnerability, it is merely an update that reminds and facilitates users
of 7 or 8.1 to reserve the free offer of upgrading to 10. so, I think
not having kb3035583 won't necessarily prevent the computer from being
upgraded to windows 10. as for the upgrade being done automatically, I'm
not sure. but heed Gerald's post about changing the settings from
automatic to manual, and uncheck to get recommended updates. after
7/29/16, all worries of automatically being upgraded to windows 10
should be over, and if you're still on 7 or 8.1, it should be safe to
return windows updates to automatic.

Anna, In the past, I've suggested to uninstall KB3035583, and then hide

that if you

To prevent Windows 10 from being installed surreptitiously on your PC

soon as I reinstalled JAWS, it worked correctly! However, the very next

FS seems to think it is not a JAWS problem, but no one seems to be able

Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS and reading text on Wikipedia

Hi everyone

Every time I read information on Wikipedia with JAWS, JAWS told me when they
come to a link. This is frustrating, specially when I read the information
via the hotkey Insert+down arrow.

Can I configure JAWS so they not announce the links on Wikipedia, especially
when I read via Insert+down arrow?

I use JAWS 14 and 15, and Internet Explorer 10 as my browser.

Very thanks for the answer.

Anders

Hi David.

Goto the View tab, arrow ddown to the lower ribbon, and select Single page

If you receive a document through e-mail, that has different settings than
your default, it can be nessesary to change this setting again.

Emne: [JAWS-Users] question regarding jaws and MSWord;

good morning all;

I have a quesstion from a client,

regarding word, he's using MSOffice 2010.

I hope this email finds you doing very well. I have a question about Jaws
and word. Jaws is giving me a hard time when I am reading through word
documents. First it will not read when the document changes pages instead it
just stops reading. This is when I am reading line by line. In the past it
would read smoothly to the next page and just announce page 2. It also
won't let me continue on to the next page unless I read word by word then it
carries me over to the next page. In addition sometimes it will skip pages
for example starting on page 1 and then jumping to page 3 and I can't read
page 2 unless I go back to the end of page 1 and move forward word by word
until it advances to page 2. This is very frustrating and it is slowing me
down a lot at the moment. If you can offer any help or suggestions it would
be very greatfully appreciated. I hope this is a common problem and
something easy to fix. Take care for now.

Thanks for getting back to me. I have the window maximized and it is still
giving me trouble. The problem is if I want to cut and paste or edit the
material in any way it won't let me because Jaws will stop at the line break
between pages. Also some pages will disappear for example it might start on
page 1 then jump ahead to page 3 or 4 and then I have to go back to where
the end of page 1 is and move forward using Control and the Arrow kets to
move word by word. If I accidently go to far for example on to page 3 from
page 2, I lose page 2 again and have to repet my steps to get back onto that
page. My text is all there, it is just a pain to access it and edit.

If I do incert and down errow it will read everything.

Anyway, I don't know if that helps or not.

Depending on wich version of Jaws you're running, it's correct if you're

Here is the direct link to download the icon from the server. Note: it is in
a zip file which you have to extract. The reason for that is if I didn't
place these icons in zip files they would simply perform their function
instead of downloading to your respective systems.

It's for windows 7, can't say if it works on 8 but if it does somebody let

With Win 7, JAWS 12 and Word 2010, it is no longer a straight, simple shot
to close and save a Word doc., after changes have been made to it or it has
been created for the first time.

It used to prompt me to save the doc. And the alt s did this quickly.

Now, it goes immediately to a prompt on the arrows, a choice of two if I
wish to remove the files which I do not and I arrow to review the file
later, then okay it on the tab and it will only then close properly.

This annoyance wastes a lot of time during any day.

How can I eliminate this extra work and go back to saving like everyone else
does in Word 2010?

Thanks for all help.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Reading emails where text is an image

2014-01-27 Thread Hans Pauli Sundstein

Hi Greg.

If you have Omnipage or Fine reader installed on your computer, you can do
the following:
If the document with the graphical scanned text is attached to a mail, than
save it first.
Goto Explorer, and highlight the document, and press the context menu
button, matching the right mouse button, an select either the Omnipage or
Fine reader submenu, and open it, and than convert to MS Word.
After a few second's, you have a .doc file matching the filename to the
original document, and try now to open it, and see, if it dos'nt give more
accessible readable text.

If you cannot find the Omnipage or Fine reader submenu in your Context menu,
than you must first open the installed scanning software, and her i am only
aware of, how Omnipage Work's.

Start Omnipage, and when ready, press alt+p to the Process menu.
Arrow down to Get Page submenu, and open it.
Press enter on Start.
Press Shift+Tab to the list view, and highlight the propriated document.
Wait a few seconds to let the document be opened and press than again Alt+P
to the Process menu, and arrow now down to the ocr submenu, and open it.

Press enter on Start.
Wait again a few second's, to let the ocr process be finished,
press now Alt+P, and arrow down to Save As submenu, and open it.
Before typing a filename, Tab to the Compobox where you select, that the
output have to be in clear text, and which filetype you want to get the
document saved in.
Shift+Tab back to the filename field, and type in here, and tab to OK and
press enter.

Now you have a readable document in your Documents list.

Good luck!

Hans Pauli.

Hello list,

I downloaded the latest JFW release from yesterday and am noticing a bug
that for me is significant and was curious to know whether others are
experiencing it as well.

In my Outlook 2010, I have six separate inboxes listed in my Favorites
treeview section. This enabled me to have quick and easy access to each
email inbox with minimal arrowing.

Previously Jaws would announce “Inbox” and if there were any unread
messages, the number of unread emails in that particular inbox as well. Now,
since updating, Jaws only announces this unread information for the first
few moments after launching Outlook, but soon after, JFW does not announce
any unread messages even if there are any in that particular folder.

These emails are a mixture of personal and business. My mailing list email
is always getting emails all day. Whereas other more important accounts may
receive

Them more speratically. I now have to go from inbox to inbox to check to see
if there are any emails be ith when I get a chime notification of a new
message or if I happen to step away from my computer or am doing something
else that takes my focus away from the pc.

Are others in fact noticing this issue as well? I hadn’t changed any
settings in my Outlook or Jaws from the prior version of JFW 15 that I was
running yesterday to today when I installed the update.

Insert+arrow up could solve this, but all this bug's was solved in Jaws 12,
and now the actual version is Jaws 15, optimized for Windows 8.1.

You can try NVDA or Narrator, NVDA is free, and Narrator is build into
Windows, but from my point of view, Jaws does the best work.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Jaws 9 and Windows 7

Does anyone run Jaws version 9.0 with Windows 7? I forwarded the following
questions to Freedom Scientific and they told me Version 9 and Windows 7 are
not compatible. If anyone can help, I would be grateful. Here are the
questions:
Every time I start up my Windows 7 Ultimate Dell Latitude PC, Jaws says that
the Freedom Scientific Mirror Display Driver is not properly instaled. I
have tried rebooting and repairing the instalation using the Jaws 9.0
program CD, but nothing has helped. I even changed the theme to Windows 7
basic theme. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix the problem?

Other problems
In Windows 7, when I press insert f11 to look at the system tray, Jaws says
that it could not find the list of task tray icons.
In certain programs, I cannot see certain parts of the screen, evenn with
the Jaws cursor. For example the Instantbird messaging program will not
update me as to the connection status, whether connecting, not connected,
username sent, password sent, or the amount of time connected, while with
Windows XP all this information is spoken directly with no problems. Also in
the conversation window, I cannot review what I have written. I can,
however, read it once it is sent.
There is just something about Jaws on Windows 7 that is far inferior to XP
and I wish it would stop.

Hi all,
I have Win7 and 15.0 with WLM.
I couldn’t figure out why I would open a message and after hitting the
escape key, I would still hear”unread” message.
So, I hit the right arrow key and arrowed down and found a bunch of new
messages.
I never got any announcement that messages were collapsed. Who knows how
many messages I deleted.

Is there a way to get an announcement if messages are collapsed in WLM?
And, after opening all of the messages that now have been expanded how do
you collapse them again?

Thanks.

Re: [JAWS-Users] links on website not working

2013-12-08 Thread Hans Pauli Sundstein

Hi.

I tryed to press the spacebar on the links, and they opened as wanted.

Some webpages are written to allow single mouseclick only, and when we press
the enter key, we are performing a double mouseclick, and therefor there is
beeing performed an activation and a canselation at the same time.

See if the spacebar dos'nt solve the problem.

Sometimes webpages are using mouseover links, whithout writing the links
correctly, and we therefor have to use the mouseover activation anyway, but
it is not the case in this situation.

Re: [JAWS-Users] adobe flash problem

2013-12-04 Thread Hans Pauli Sundstein

Hi again.

Try this solution on the standard flashplayer update page:
Press spacebar on the Google Crome and Toolbar box, and arrow than several
times down, and under the download button, you'll find an information on,
how great your download size is.
If this is about 16 mb, than you have unchecked the Google Crome and
Toolbar.
If it is above 50 mb, than you still have checked the box for Crome and
Toolbar.

Try to read the message from this line untill you're secure, and than press
the download button.

Cher, I have found that using the jaws version 15 beta has solved this

I execute a link on a web page. The prior version of jaws many times would

Re: [JAWS-Users] Problem with Windows mail and WLM

2013-08-13 Thread Hans Pauli Sundstein

Hi.

If you've problems with Jaws not reading unread for the new incomming
messages, do the following.

At first activate the Jaws cursor, and move it to a message that is unread.
Press Insert+v and type graphic in the search field, and change the graphic
verbosity from labeled to all.
Now find the graphic symbol infront of the senders name of the unread
message, and place the Jaws cursor on it.
Press insert+g to start the graphic labeler, and instead of the three digit
number for the graphic symbol, type in Unread message.
Save the change, and go back to the insert+v menu, and set back the graphic
verbosity from all to labeled.

Now, every time you comes to a message, that is unread, you should get this
information.
If you still are having problems with this, maximize the window, and it
should work.

It can be a good idea, to goto the settings area in Windows Live Mail
atfirst, alt+f than Settings - submenu, and e-mail, and from the reader tab
change the time for, how fast the program changes the icon from unread to
read, e.g. 60 second's, so there is time to make the changes without the
risk of, that the icon changes before action compleeted.

Good luck.

Hans Pauli.

Hi there everybody
I could finally manage to install two new versions of Outlook Express on
Windows 7. One is named Windows mail and the other one is
named Windows Live Mail 8. I know WM and WLM are not the same as OE, but I
mean the interfaces are very similar. Now I have two
problems with both versions. The first problem is, neither one reads the
number of unread messages in my Inbox. the very bad
problem is , JAWS does not distinguish between the read messages and unread
messages. It only keeps saying unread, unread, unread.
I tried that with both WM and WLM8. I also tried both of them with all these
versions of JAWS: 10, 11 and 13.

Is there any kind of solution, script, setting, manipulation, configuration
or newer version of WLM or JAWS that can solve this
problem? For example if I add a piece of code to the scripts, or I use newer
versions of WLM or I use JAWS 14, this problem can be
solved?

Thanks in Advance

unlucky that you are selecting another item with your handroot, which is
very frustrating.

On most laptop's you can disable the mouse pad by pressing the FN-button +
the F-button on the upper row, that has this function.
Be aware of, that it has to bi done every time you turn on the computer,
because it not will be stored anywhere.

Hi Fred.

Goto Windows Update, and activate the link to Installed updates and go

them, just do so.

Press teh context menu button and select remove, and press enter.

If you want to change the standard search engine in Internet Explorer, goto

Hi.

If you connect your iPhone with your pc through the usb cable, than you have
access to the pictures area by Windows Explorer.

Open the folder, where your pictures are stored on your iPhone, and
highlight the pictures you want to copy, and copy them to the clipboard.
Open than the the folder Pictures, and e.g. a subfolder, and paste the
pictures there.

Now you can send the photo's that you want by e-mail.

I know some security packages don't work at all and some see JAWS as an

Hi folks. I need to scan several multi-page documents and email them as PDF’s
to sighted colleagues. I’m currently using a Plustek OpticBook 3600 for OCR
scanning, but the Action Express software native to the scanner is totally
inaccessible with any version of JAWS. I need a software program which will
scan multiple pages and append each page to a single PDF. The PDF itself

I’m currently using JAWS 14, latest build under Windows 7 on two PC’s. I’m
also using K1000 for OCR scanning.

Any help would be greatly appreciated ASAP.

2013-02-28 Thread Hans Pauli Sundstein

Hi Russ.

If you're running Win7, than goto the startmenu, type taskbar in the search

Tab about five times, to the change button message area, and press enter.
Tab to the compobox'es where you can select, which item has to be shown as
an icon and message, and when done press ok.

This area is not static, so when you hear a new message, about an update
that you have'nt marked as icon and message before, you must goto this area
again, untill you've got all what you want.

Good luck.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Alt Tab

Hi,

I have posted about this a couple times before and didn't get much feedback
but I'm going to try again because it's about to drive me crazy.
Previously, up through Windows Vista, I could alt tab between all of the
programs that I had open. With Windows 7 and now with Windows 8, often I
cannot alt tab between all of them. I'll give you an example. I was just
paying a bill online. I had open Internet Explorer, Notepad (where my
payment info was), and JAWS. I was in IE and wanted to alt tab to Notepad.
However, when I pressed alt tab, it went from IE to JAWS and would go no
farther when I held alt and continued to press tab. If I released alt and
then pressed alt tab again, it would go back to IE and would go no farther.
So, only IE and JAWS were in the alt tab order even though Notepad was also
open. To get to Notepad, I had to use the JAWS window list, which I don't
find as convenient as alt tab. Has anyone else experienced this and does
anyone have any idea how to fix it? As I said, this started with Windows 7
but I am now using Windows 8, on a different machine, and am getting the
same behavior. I upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7 at the same time
that I upgraded from JAWS 9 to JAWS 13 (I'm now using JAWS 14). I don't
know if this is a Windows issue or a JAWS issue or something else. This is
a small thing but it

really bugs me so if anyone has any ideas, please speak up.

Thanks,

Scott Duck

And sorry for the typos in my last message. Speed typing at 3 in the

Eric,

Thanks for the response. Can you tell me if I am missing something here.

I am going to be one of those trouble maker users where I can't do
anything the easy way. I have to install Java 1.6 because currently, java
1.7 does not work with Oracle applications. Soo, java 1.6 it is.

I've downloaded and installed the latest java 1.6 for both 32 and 64 bit
systems.

I've downloaded and installed the java access bridge.

I've rebooted my system.

Running JAWS 13, Windows 7.

Running internet Explorer, 64 bit, the java application comes up and
sighted folks say it is working, but JAWS reports nothing, absolutely
nothing.

Do you know if the installation instructions for the Access Bridge on
Oracle's site are accurate? There is definitely one set of instructions
that appear backwards as they say to install the 32 bit library in
%windowshome%/syswow64 and the 64 bit library in %windowshome%system32.
Which, I did not do, I did it the logical way. But when has logic ever
been a part of software.

Is there anything I need to do to JAWS after installing the Access Bridge?

Hi

Recently my workplace mentioned they were going to move to a new database
software called File Reader Pro and wanted to know what its accessibility
was like and if it would work with my version of jaws. I wasn't sure about
this and did some research on Google where I found that while the makers of
File Reader Pro were touting it was accessible this is not quite the truth
as I discovered from various other web forums etc. Now I would like to know
if someone here has a particular database other than say MS Access or File
Reader Pro that would be pretty good accessibility wise.

Many thanks for any help.

Re: [JAWS-Users] java update

2012-11-26 Thread Hans Pauli Sundstein

Hi Shane.

On Windows 7, Java update dos'nt appear in the systemtray automatically.

You must go to the progressbar and startmenu, and select the configure
button, and set the compobox for Java updates to Show icon and message and
hit ok, and than you will find the Java update in the system tray.

Be aware of, that only the 32 bit Java automatically is updated, if you're
running a 64 bit system, and use's the 64 bit browser, than you must
manually update the 64 bit version of Java, by going to the www.java.com
through the 64 bit browser, and download the update, and install it offline.

Good luck.

Try insert+f11 to get to the system tray. If there is an update, you
should be able to get to something that says java update click to
install or something similar. Hit enter and you'll get a menu that has
an install option. Hit enter on that and it should allow you to install
the update. Now if you went to java.com and downloaded it, that should
be the most up to date version.

Hi.

If you're running Java 7.06 or later, ... newest update is 7.09, Java Access
Bridge v. 2.0.3 is included.

Install e.g. both the 64 bit and the 32 bit version of Java, and than press
Windows-key+u and tab to the button: Use the computer without a screen and
press enter.
Tab to the checkbox Enable Java Access Bridge and press spacebar, and at
last tab to the ok button and press enter.
Close the open window you have left, and restart either Jaws or your

Now you should could use programs and homepages that uses Java, and where
Java Access Bridge is necessary.

Hi.

As default Windows is set up to only show this messages as pop up's, but in

Here you can change the behaviour of different element's, if accissable, and

Be aware of, that the Java update only comes with the 32 bit update install

Re: [JAWS-Users] WLM and JAWS14 questions

2012-11-09 Thread Hans Pauli Sundstein

Hi.

At first change the setting, so emails dos'nt change status to read after
beeing highlighted in five seconds, e.g. to 60 seconds or unselect the
checkboks so emails first are getting read, after beeing opened by pressing
enter on each.

Set than the graphic information temporary to All and find an unread
message.
Move the Jaws cursor to pc cursor, and use the ctrl+left arrow key to the
first graphic and press insert+g.
Instead of the graphic number, type Unread or Unread message, whatever you
want Jaws to say, and if you're using braille, type also what to be shown in
the braille display in the desired field and select ok.

This was the first step.
Find a message that contains an attachment, and move again the Jaws cursor
to pc cursor, and once again use the ctrl+left arrow key to the graphic
symbol for the attachment.
If you, when arrow'ing up/down arrow searching for the email containing the
attachment, recognized only one graphic element on that line, where the
attachment was found, than arrow to this graphic symbol using the Jaws
cursor, and press insert+g and type the new label e.g. Attachment, and do
the same for braille, if you're using such one.
If there are more than one graphic on that line in frontt of the sender and
subject, than you must give it a try, but remember the number of the Graphic
you change, so you are able to change it back afterwards, if it should be
wrong.

When finishing this proces, set the graphic information back to labeled, and
you should be done.

Good luck.

Hi.

When turning on the computer for the first time, you must select language,
country, date and time, and run a setup of the operating system.

When this is done, you can install Jaws and so on.

In most computers the source for burning dvd's to restore the system with,
is in the All Programs menu, and it is good to do this, so the computer can
be restored, if something dangerous should happen.

Hey Everyone,

am running NVDA which can check for and install updates without any problem.

I downloaded JAWS 14 64 bit using another machine and installed it on my
Windows 8 machine. It said there was a problem with the internet
connection and some components were not installed. I have removed and
reinstalled JAWS several times with the same error. The internet
connection is fine. When I try to update authorization it says there is
a problem with the internet connection. If I do a check for updates on
the help menu it says there is a problem with the internet connection.

The internet connection is working with no problems. Only JAWS can't
find it. I don't think it's trying to use the connection because it
comes back instantly and says there is a problem with the connection.

I have successfully installed JAWS 14 on a Windows 7 laptop using the
USB modem and the Verizon software. (VZAccess Manager.)

Not sure what to check or why JAWS doesn't recognize the connection.

Any suggestions? Thanks!
