*Details:* Supplier will provide you with up to Seventy (70) person days to
assist customer with their Oracle Advanced Replication to Oracle Streams
conversion and also to provide Oracle GoldenGate Proof of Concept testing
assistance.

*Overview:* Customer currently has a combination of Oracle Advanced
Replication and Oracle Streams in their environments to replicate data from
various source databases to various target databases.  There are currently
some issues being experienced with Oracle Advanced Replication.  Customer
wants to use a consistent product for the very near future and it has been
decided that Oracle Streams will be that standard product for the immediate
future.  Once the conversion to Oracle Streams is complete Oracle will
assist with an Oracle GoldenGate Proof of Concept with the intent to prove
out Oracle GoldenGate as the standard approach for the long term future of
the data replication
requirements.


A. Planning  Preparation

· Discuss high-level architectural overview of the project.

· Review schemas and current environments.

· Review Oracle Advanced Replication and Streams current
configurations.

· Review data replication strategies and requirements.

· Discuss and whiteboard the overall plan.

· Assist in validating the replacement approach of Oracle Advanced
Replication to Oracle Streams.

B. Assistance with Advanced Replication to Streams conversion in
non-production

· Assist with implementing Oracle in a non-production environment.

· Assist with configuration of Oracle Stream in non-production.

· Assist with Oracle Streams data replication testing in
non-production.

· Provide Oracle Streams tuning / troubleshooting assistance.

· Assist with documenting the conversion process from Oracle

· This is an Oracle Developer role but….. Financial knowledge base
requires an understanding of financial reporting, especially the makeup and
creation of the PL(s) and Balance Sheet(s) driven by the Chart of Accounts
contained in the General Ledgers throughout the organization.

· There are approximately 150 General Ledger locations which are
consolidated at multiple levels, so the consolidation concept is
important.

· Understanding allocations ( experience A PLUS ) is an important
skill set.

· In the PL there are many non profit producing business units,
cost centers, etc. that need to be divided and charged to other business
units, cost centers, end markets.

· This is primarily done by a percent of sales or a percent of cost
of goods sold.

· Extensive coding in Oracle drives these calculations so some
business knowledge is beneficial to be able to understand what the coding
is trying accomplish with regards to allocations as an issue surfaces and
needs to be investigated / resolved.

· In addition to business unit, cost center, and end market
allocations there are allocations to products and customers.

·  So conceptual understanding of the financial ramifications of
this billing activity and allocation thereof is necessary especially since
it is taking place out of 20+ different systems and 130 billing locations.

done similar work on a project like the one listed below.

The description of what our client is wanting to do is listed below:

1)  In the SalesForce Opportunity module, enable a user to initiate the
transmission of an equipment order to the client.  The equipment order data
will be compiled from data fields within the SalesForce environment.  A set
of business rules will also be used complete the order details.

2)  Enable a web services layer from SalesForce through which the
equipment order data can be exposed to client and to which client can post
order updates.  The data will be exposed in an XML format.  Authentication
will be used to ensure that only the client can access the data.  Order
updates will be imported into SalesForce data fields, so that the user can
see these updates in the Opportunity module.

3)  Create an import application that will take XML files delivered on
a nightly basis to a folder on the Customer’s network and import key data
elements into the data fields of the Opportunity module.
