You can put a reverse proxy (Apache/mod_proxy, etc.) in a DMZ and have it act as a middle man. You can put a mid-tier/web server in a DMZ and allow it to talk to the ARServer on an internal network. I would not put an ARServer in the DMZ. I would not expose an ARServer to the internet.
