We loaded our assets into the system. It isn't easy but first import
into the BMC_CORE:BMC-BaseElement Form and then export out into an arx
file each Class ID - So you may have BMC_CORE:BMC-Equipment,
ComputerSystem etc. Then you import each individual one into
corresponding form - example
You don't need a third party - you just need to re-work the workflow to
populate those fields on the RQC:ServiceRequestWizard Form - which
pushes to the SRM:Request Form that has the fields. We did the same
thing - we only use 1 of the Operational and then 2 of the Products at
this time.

FYI - on the case of Business Objects Enterprise - we own this software
and the only way reporting can be done with BO is that you must own the
Premiere License Key and not Professional - we own Professional and to
be able to run reports we were going to have to spend $40,000 a license

I have installed it - So far the big differences are the license keys -
when installing you only have to request a ARServer License Key. Then
you apply the application license keys - but you do not have an actual
license key for them - you just go into the license tool and add what
ever license
I tried and tried to install the patch and was never successful - it
would download the files but would never patch the server. I am running
3 separate boxes - AR, Web, DB and they are linux boxes with Oracle
running on them.

SSL - I have set the port # correctly - and the certs database
information - password etc.
But, when I try to login to remedy with account that is in the User Tool
with no password - and use the password that I used
Your correct once you have the 7.0 patch 2 of the apps installed you
can't upgrade to 7.0.1 of the apps. There is a work around - go into
the SHARE:Application_Properties form and delete the entries for
Incident, Change, Problem, etc -- and then install and they go in just
fine. To determine

I am building our Test Box with the New ARSystem 7.0.1 and ITSM Suite 7.0
Patch 2 - everything was working fine - but now the permissions on the
Incident Managment are not working - (Incident User, Viewer, Master, Admin
etc) - they are there but when assign to People it is like those users do
to reinstall Incident but get a fatel
error message that my version is different.

I have began the process of installing ARSystem 7.0. This is a fresh
install on a new box. Linux - Oracle 10g
Everything installed cleaned and successfully - I have bounced the server
and everything is up and running. But, I am unable to login to the User
Tool as Demo.
Any suggestions.
We created a special View on the Change Request Form and used Yes/No
boxes based on the information needed for the users and had it generate

At one time there was a Tennessee User Group but I am not sure what
happened, but my company is interested in maybe starting another RUG for
the Tennessee Area and Surroding Areas.
We are just trying to get a feel of individuals that would be interested
in a RUG being developed for our area.
I am getting ready to Install 7.0 and all of ITSM Suite. What order do
you recommend installing software. Is this correct - or should they be in
a diffent order. Of course I know to make sure all of the Database, OS,
Web, etc software is installed priror to starting these installations.

I was able to register but when I got the confirmation back it showed
someone else billing information - and showed I paid with an American
Express and didn't. I called Support and they said they had a problem
and were working to correct. As of yesterday they still had not
corrected.
