One of the sparrows had quite dull and indistinct markings--I believe it is
an immature Rufous-crowned Sparrow that may be transitioning from juvenal to

I was in error. The raptor I saw and photographed on the Canon City
Riverwalk is a juvenile Cooper's Hawk not a juvenile Goshawk. Christian
Nunes helped me by pointing out that a goshawk would have zig-zagging tail
bands not the straight across ones on the bird I photographed
