I have 195 files in $HOME/.Sent/cur and I see that I have 195 messages
in the Sent folder when looking at the folder overview screen in SqWebMail.
But when I open the Sent folder in SqWebMail I only see 2 mails.

I simply renamed
which simply passes auth requests on to
vpopmail and then vpopmail handles everything else internally. From this
perspective, there's no need to configure Courier-IMAP for MySQL
authentication.
You might consult other list members regarding which method is best.
