I'm looking at setting up a Logitech Media Server on the Windows Home
Server Platform. I see there is a native add-on for WHS V1 but not an
addin for WHS 2011, and because I only have a copy of WHS 2011, and not

NTS (Not too sure). I listen to a lot of music so it's worth the 10
bucks a month. You do need to have an account for sure to get the
client id and secret keys.

The NAS migth not be upp to it (memory and cpu) .
So test nr 2 was to run LMS on more powerfull machine (any other
computer you migth have ) and do the same test .

Thanks for the replies. Just tested the changes both threads mentioned
(turning off sync between players and turning off native AAC
transcoding) and neither worked. With both changes, CDs scanned in as
ALAC play perfectly gaplessly, but AAC doesn't.

Gapless AAC has been discussed a numebr of times - one of the issues is
the file format - IIRC unlike MP3,AAC in a M4A format has

I was seeing a similar problem a few weeks ago, a boom and the web
interface were showing one track ahead or behind what was actually
playing (can't remember for certain). At some point I used the remote
to skip back a few tracks then forward, and it fixed itself. Running

FYI if you want to throw Home Assistant (open source home automation
software) into the mix you can also use Google Home to play specific
tracks, albums, artists, etc from LMS. I've put information on this on

Ok thanks a lot I get it. I though it was possible to use local ip when
connected to home wifi with ifttt. That's why it doesn't work. And I now
understand why @FredFredrickson said "make sure to be password
protected" ;)

IP needs to be the public IP address that reaches your router from the
outside - not the internal 192... address because it is IFTTT that is
trying to reach your system not your local Google Home box.
Also - I presume that the working example from earlier is using port
9000 because it is using

On further inspection what is happening is something is happening with
the DB. Huge cycles are consumed on the cpu, eventually creating a near
full stop in the process queue pushing immediate load avg up to 90+. Any
way to get more insight to what's happening here?

I installed logitechmediaserver-7.9.1-0.1.1509357021.noarch on CentOS
7.4.1708 yesterday. It's been working fine in spite of some issues with
spotty (which I'll report later). After selecting a few plugins for
installation LMS no longer opens port 9000. After multiple restarts I'm
unable to
(Needs an idiot guide to getting MusicIP working. I've looked into it a
few times and banged my head so hard against "obsolete, unavailable,
proprietary software" that I couldn't be bothered any more..)
