I recently purchased the new Apple Watch 4 so have had a chance to try
the new watch app.
It seems fairly basic, but I just might not be using it correcly. Is
there a guide explaining its use, especially the latest versions for
watchos5?
Specifically is there anyway to browse and add music

Well, you could try to use it through the UPnPBridge plugin.
The results will vary, though, depending on the quality of the UPnP/DLNA
implementation.
Most of them are not very good, the reason vendors use UPnP is usually
that they lack the software competency to implement a decent protocol so
iPeng has long been my Goto for controlling my LMS based music library.

It's the LMS 7.9 Composers menu. All good now with Sort Album by Name.

iPad? That's indeed a change,
The latest iPeng update, 9.0.3, comes with two improvements:
First, there is a new "All Albums" submenu of "Browse Years". It shows
you a list of your albums, sorted by the year of the initial release. It
is fully cached and indexed by decade so that you can quickly travel
through time (see

These (sub) menus always have been sorted by year first, it's the server
default, too.
No, it's not. Default is album name. There's only one list which is
sorted by year by default: "Browse by years".

Thank you continuing to support and improve iPeng with every release. It
looks incredible on my iPad Pro and the split screen mode is a very
handy feature allowing me to change/pause a track whilst still working

Since a few days ago Apple has now started shipping the iPad pro and if

here are some impressions.
It's seriously gigantic. So gigantic that you can have a fully

To do away with a common myth: iTunes does NOT support half-star

iTunes shows average ratings for albums which can be half-star-ratings
but you can NOT set a half-star rating in iTunes.
iPeng - like iTunes - only allows
Just to say you have a customer for the upcoming iPeng on tvOS.

The lack of a touch screen makes for very bad remote controls.

Yes, search integration is something that will help a bit and I'm going
to do that in iOS 9, too.
But it's just search and it only works for known data. I'm not even sure
adding a whole list of albums is feasible, tracks probably not.
But no radio, no remote services, nothing that iPeng presents
There's another issue with Siri: it only properly works in English. Yes,
it supports other languages, too, but the problem is it's not
multi-lingual. So if I set it to German and then try to search for an
