The newest software in my Duet controller seems to have a bug when
describing players. It used to say Transporter and something else for
the SB3, but now it just says function 0x11d28 or somesuch. Is this a
bug?

I can say for the battery problem- put your controller back in the
cradle nightly. That will solve your issue there.
Turn down your power settings- it will drain your battery faster, but
will get rid of that annoying reconnection every time you use the

Implementation is admittedly a non-trivial thing, especially given the

You might try rebooting your computer running SqueezeCenter, and
rebooting your Squeezebox Controller by taking out the battery and
plugging it back in.

Folders/files with a leading dot are hidden items on Linux systems.
They're ignored by SC. As mentioned before, rename the folder and you
should be fine.

OK, my bitrate might be a bit low thus, when streaming it's kinda choppy
when I start playing flac files from the remote. But as soon as I just
play one song from the computer where I have SC running, and then go
back to the remote and play another song I have no problem any more.

my specs are below. fw = 1.20 for the router.
i think there is more than one issue involved here, and the conflation
of factors makes figuring this out very tricky. its not just the dhcp
for the SBC, my sbc has its dhcp IP reserved, (my sb2 uses a static
private ip).
i think a lot of it is
Do you have a playlist folder set in SC?
Do you run XP as English language or some other language?
Are you running an antivirus or firewall?
I haven't seen that Prefs:_ANON___ bit before - it may be
peculiar to WHS but I suspect the developers may need to comment.

soldering bolt is the hot side so decided to pay someone for these.
Anyway they will be useful in the normal usage scenario (e.g. turning
