Don I've checked the bias voltages in TEST mode, both QRP and QRP, and they're correct for all bands. So the fault is clearly not a logic one associated with U1. So... the possibilities, I think, are a) T/R circuit, but I don't know why that should be band-specific b) LPFs, but QRP TX and RX is

I don't think that is right. The K2 cable was special in that they wired the pins in an unconventional way and warned everyone not to use a standard serial cable with the K2. You'll have to do some research on that. I used a Which is why I wrote:

Hmm, I went through that a couple weeks ago and I ended up needing to replace the 8-volt regulator. Elecraft sent me a new one. Check the output voltage on the 8-volt regulator (LM2930T-8) and see how close it is to 8 volts. I'll be interested to see what the more experienced builders have to say

The resistor to change is R98 on the bottom of the RF board - increase the value. How much it can be increased varys from one K2 to another - it will never be greater than 1500 ohms, but some K2s can only increase it by a few hundred ohms. The best way to find the correct value for your K2 is
