I have a library project I need to set up.
It consists of about 500 materials, including some CDs, tapes, and
(mostly) books. There is no checkout system; all I need to do is create a
remotely-accessible list of its contents.
I could just put the content in an HTML page, but a Windows user need
check the man pages for procmail. there are example recipes in there on
how exactly to do just that.

winFtp simply uses ftp... so all u need to do is start ftp server on u're box.
If you are not paranoid about security, then simply start the inet service.
Use the command
service inet start to start it..
u can check /etc/inetd.conf for the services u have started when u started
inet..

This has been stated before on each list but it bares repetting again.
Because of changes in the file structure to bring it into compliance with
the new standards and because of KDE 2.0 the reccomended mode of
installation for 7.2 is as a New Install not an Upgrade.

Obviously this is a permission error.
Did you buy the cd you were using? Or did you burn it yourself? If you
burned it, did you check your md5's before? Did they match? I had the
problem with cd's that won't boot, numerous times. Most times, its because
of a bad download.
