one
 of
the most difficult choices of my life. John will you PLEASE share

about
what has happened in Fairfield. Please read everything I have
 written
in this e-mail John, I have tried to be as honest and
as TRUTHFUL
  as
I can. I also have suggestions at the end of this e-mail, that may
  benefit EVERYONE!

When I applied for the course, I was told I would need more time
to
  be
processed. I knew I probably would not get an immediate
acceptance,
because a few years ago I applied and was asked if I practiced any
techniques other than Maharishi's. I went to India with a GREAT
 saint
from Asam, India, Shree Maa, in 1999, and I told the man
 questioning
me I had experienced EVERYTHING that India had to offer, and that
what I learned in private, I kept private. I had asked the
question
  to
over 600 people that I initiated, back in the
 seventies: Everything
we learn in private, we keep private. Do you agree? This answer
seemed the most truthful and appropriate to me, yet I was not
  accepted then for the dome.

This past Saturday July 29th, I was encouraged by my sister and
brother-in law and several friends at a birthday party, that I
 should
apply now for the dome, because they were accepting EVERYONE!
Regardless of past associations with saints or other techniques, I
  was
told EVERYONE was WELCOME BACK!!! The words All sins would be
forgiven were used. Those words deeply pinched my heart. I have
  never
considered spending time with Fully Awakened Divine Beings a sin.
I
have been incredibly fortunate to travel with many saints over the
last twelve years. Each ONE I always experienced as MAHARISHI.
Each
ONE, that I was BLESSED by, deepened my INCREDIBLE LOVE, RESPECT
 and
ETERNAL GRATITUDE to Maharishi for all that He had given me in the
past. Maharishi was my FIRST GURU!!! Yet Maharishi became
inaccessible to me. The last time I saw Him was at The 7000
Course
 in
1983. My heart was longing for him, So I felt that one by one He
started sending different saints to BLESS ME!!! Over the years, I
have received the GRACE and BLESSINGS from over 15 different
saints
that have visited Fairfield since 1997. In 1994 my first GREAT

[FairfieldLife] 'What's Cool In Iraq?- Cell Phones, Humvees Apache's'

2006-08-08 Thread Robert Gimbel

By DAMIEN CAVE Published: August 8, 2006BAGHDAD, Iraq, Aug. 7 — The cool kids in Iraq all want an Apache, the cellphone they’ve named after an American military helicopter. Next on the scale of hipness comes a Humvee, followed by the Afendi, a Turkish word for dapper, and a sturdy, rounded Nokia known as the Allawi — a reference to the stocky former prime minister, Ayad Allawi.Skip to next paragraph The Reach of WarGo to Complete Coverage » Multimedia Video: Cellphones in Iraq Hostilities in the MideastGo to Complete Coverage » Video Surviving in Bourj al-Barajneh Interactive Graphics Attacks, Day by Day Pummeling the Heart of Hezbollah Aid Convoy in Lebanon
More Multimedia: Israel | Lebanon | Middle EastMax Becherer/Polaris, for The New York Times Brig. Gen. Jaleel Khalaf Shwayel of the Iraqi Army owns three cellphones and says he often upgrades. Even more telling
are the text messages and images that Iraqis share over their phones. From all over the city, Baghdad cellphones practically shout commentary about Saddam Hussein, failed reconstruction and violence, always the violence. One of the most popular messages making the rounds appears onscreen with the image of a skeleton. “Your call cannot be completed,” it says, “because the subscriber has been bombed or kidnapped.” Cellphones have long been considered status symbols in developing countries, Iraq included. But in an environment where hanging out is potentially life threatening, cellphones are also a window into dreams and terrors, the macabre local sense of humor and Iraqis’ resilience amid the swells of violence. The business here is booming. According
to figures published last month by the State Department, there are now 7.1 million cellphone subscribers in Iraq, up from 1.4 million two years ago. In an economy where jobs can be as scarce as rain, billboards for phones are among the only advertisements updated regularly in the capital. Some Iraqis report spending as much as $800 on phones like the Humvee, and from the rooftops of Sadr City, the poor Shiite district where trash lines the streets, visible cellphone towers outnumber minarets 15 to 2. It is the relentless violence — which now claims dozens of Iraqis every day — that seems to have fertilized the industry’s growth. Insurgents use phones to communicate and to detonate bombs, while Iraqis of all sects rely on their phones to avoid danger. Jabar Satar Salaum, 50, the owner of a cellphone store on a busy street in the middle-class Shiite area of Karada, said he used his phone (a Nokia that is a step up from the Allawi) mostly
to tell his wife that he was safe. On the ride to and from work across Baghdad, he said he called every few minutes. “I call to tell her I am leaving,” he said. “I call to tell what district I am in when I am driving, or if the roads are blocked by checkpoints, I call to tell her that as well.” Four of the eight stores on Mr. Salaum’s block sell cellphones, and most have window displays where each phone is covered in plastic. Between customers, his sons, Amjad, 17, and Muhammad, 15, said that cellphones were desirable not just because they were cool but also because they provided one of the country’s only safe forms of teenage self-_expression_. In May, a tennis coach and two of his players were shot to death in Baghdad because they were wearing shorts. Cellphones, in contrast, have attracted little religious outrage. “For young people, buying phones is a habit,” Amjad said. “Everybody buys different phones all
the time. Whenever something new comes out, they have to have it.” He reached into his jeans and pulled out his newest acquisition, an orange Sony Ericsson that sells for about $300. It was protected by a hard, clear plastic case. On the wall to his left hung a poster of Nokia phones, showing images and model numbers displayed like the Popsicles on an ice cream truck. “I’ve had all of these,” he said. How many exactly? “At least 20,” he said. “Every one.” The nicknames for phones, he and other Iraqis said, are a mnemonic device derived in part from their shapes. The Allawi, a Nokia 3660, is broad and has a rounded bottom, resembling the physique of the former prime minister; the Apache is a Nokia flip-phone with a bottom that swivels, like a rotor blade. The prices the phones command are rather high for Iraq, of course. But with a booming aftermarket in cellphones, people can sell their old ones for nearly the original
price and move up to a fancier model. Service is relatively cheap, with most people relying on $10 and $20 prepaid cards rather than the more expensive monthly plans. [FairfieldLife] 'Has the 'Flying Technique/Diverted the Goal of Attainment of Samadhi?'

2006-08-08 Thread Robert Gimbel

It has occurred to me, that in Maharishi Patajali's writings; On the Yoga Sutras, that he seems to warn about the 'Super-normal Abilities, Or Siddhis, as an adjunct, but not the goal. And Maharishi used to make it a fairly strong point, in SCI, That the 'gold mines and silver mines' along the way; Were not as important as 'capturing the fort, of enlightenment, Samadhi. Somewhere the movement got off on what Pantajali had warned of; And into some power trip, with this flying business; That no longer could the average person relate to the original teaching of: Maharishi's- to attain Samadhi, not necessarily to gain anyparticular: "Power" or Power's... Then came the power of the political 'Natural Law Party', and then the 'World Government', Everything ends up happening in Fairfield anyway; So, why not just go back to the simplicity of creating samadhi; And not try to take over the county, ...let alone the world. Let Kansas be Kansas... R.G.

 Yes, I have, years ago..
He used to charge about $120, and do it from his

 Pacific Palisades, Ca.
And record a tape, which he would send you.
He would make a statement in the beginning and at

 Of the session.
Also, would ask you for questions,

He also did a lot of work tuning into, what he

I found SSRS's Eternity Process interesting too, but I

It seems to me the premise is that involvement

Whether that's *true* or not, I don't know; and

I find it amusing that everyone who

exciting existence as a nobleman, diplomat,
   courtesan, soldier, pirate, painter, musician,
 etc.
Nobody ever seems to discover that they were a

 28.
drummer Makes ya wonder what happened to the

Very interesing process. You're not hypnotized and
 no
content suggestions are made to you. And by the
 way, I
happened to be one of those slaves that built the
  pyramids,

 Congratulations.

You're the first person I've ever heard relate a
 past live
experience in which the past life wasn't a King or
 an emperor or
 someone special, like Abraham Lincoln.

A lowly slave? How pedestrian of you...

Not only was I a slave, I was as dumb as a stump too
in that life! I actually think I was mildly mentally
retarded. But I also was Roman general (or somebody of
high ranking) too with blond hair (which had gone
gray). I dealt with maps and logistics; keeping tabs
on troop movements and supply lines to them. I died of
a heart attack.

but I fell off one of the blocks and
fractured my skull and died. I was 18. At least it
 was
in my chitta. Another interesting thing was to
experience various people that I'm related too
 today
popping up in various guises in different past
 lives.
For instance, in a a past life in Norway in the
 mid
1800's my youngest daughter is now my wife and my
oldest son is now my father. In that life he
 drowned
at about the age of 10. Now, is all this true and
actually past lives. I don't have a clue, but it
 is
amazing at all the naratives the unrole in the
  awareness with this process.

Maybe the subtlety factor is such that that's the

I wonder if he realizes, though, that some people

[FairfieldLife] FW: My Dome Rejection from Shiva Ma Ryan

2006-08-08 Thread Rick Archer
Mark Petrick's comments:

Dear All, I've read Shiva Ma's letter with heartfelt interest and
compassion for our dear friend and her pain at being rejected from the
dome. It's sad that someone who still believes that doing TM in the dome
is of some benefit to the world, and who is eager to take part in that
program, can't participate.

On the other hand, what I also hear in her letter are the pangs of one
still seeking approval or accommation from the TM organization and it's
leaders.

The most salient lesson I took away from my years with the TM
organization was this: Brahm is the charioteer. Consciousness, God,
nature, whatever we call it, is all-pervasive, all-guiding, omnipotent,
and ultimately, the prime (and ultimately only) mover.

As my path as a seeker blossomed, this pointer gained depth and resonance
with the other pointers that teachers radiated on my way. A related
point being that there is only one Guru. That consciousness, God, nature
(again, whatever we call that transcendental source) is always guiding
everything, that all is the Will of God.

For many of us, TM was our starting point as spiritual seekers. For many
it has proved valuable as a sole path, or has become part of what they
consider their spiritual life. For some of us, it was a starting point,
succeeded by other teacher(s) and teaching(s) that proved inspiring,
transformative, pertinent to the particular destiny of each of us.

I believe (for whatever little that is worth) that there is only one
Guru, but that life provides us with lessons, teachers, and vistas along
the path at every moment.

There is nothing personal about being 'rejected' from the dome. It just
means that God doesn't need you there, that your particular destiny and
it's place in the unfathomable unfoldment of life is better served
elsewhere. What a gift to get this message from the Brahm, the charioteer.

Love, Mark

Great wise words, Mark. I've finally realized that the
purity of one's intent in the heart for awakening is
ultimately what organizes one's spiritual path. You
have to trust this and your own simple experience.
Come out of the mind into the heart. The mind can
really struggle with this. The mind always wants it a

directly to me (Thyon 2000 ATR, 1975)was, Let go.

My response to Marks comments:

I agree. I wasn't very upset when I was booted from the dome. It was a little disconcerting, as shifts in life's direction can be, but I had a feeling that all was well and wisely put. Over time, that feeling was confirmed many times over. Now, I'm grateful for the nudge. MUM seems to be an incubator for many. If you've hatched and are ready to fly but are reluctant to do so, the momma bird's going to give you a push.

On the other hand, I agree with Shiva Ma's point that if you're practicing MMY's program as taught, nothing added or deleted, you should be allowed to practice it in the dome. Anything outside of that is your personal business and I think MUM shoots itself in the foot by concerning itself with that. [FairfieldLife] Re: 'Has the 'Flying Technique/Diverted the Goal of Attainment of Samadhi?'

   That the 'gold mines and silver mines' along the way;
Were not as important as 'capturing the fort, of enlightenment,
Samadhi.
   Somewhere the movement got off on what Pantajali had warned of;
   And into some power trip, with this flying business;
That no longer could the average person relate to the original
teaching of:
Maharishi's- to attain Samadhi, not necessarily to gain any
particular:
Power or Power's...
Then came the power of the political 'Natural Law Party', and
then the 'World Government',
   Everything ends up happening in Fairfield anyway;
   So, why not just go back to the simplicity of creating samadhi;
And not try to take over the county, ...let alone the world.
   Let Kansas be Kansas...
   R.G.

In Beacon Light of the Himalayas, Mahesh talks about Samadhi; if I'm
not mistaken, it's what he calls his technique, there. Samadhi is, if
I also understand correctly, the whole point of the Yogasutras and
the various samyama practises are there not to develop the
distraction of powers but to enhance the clarity of samadhi.

But power is a mighty corruptor and, from my own experiences with
Mahesh and around those around Mahesh, the lust for power was
Mahesh's weakness.

I don't think that the samyama practises are the only means to
enhance the development and clarity of samadhi, however. It's a shame
that Mahesh's lust for power and money was such a distraction that he
corrupted his own heritage in order to fulfil his urges for more and
more. He deluded many, many people in his pursuit of his own
enhancement. Such a pity.

What he churned out as his 'sidhi' program has little or nothing to
do with what the Patanjali-editors were preserving in the name of
spiritual development and awakening from the dream of the relative
world. Maheshism simply devolves decent people deeper and deeper in
the dream world and parts them from their resources for his self-
engrossed desires for fame and worship.

...

I think practicing PURE TM may get a bit complex for someone who has
practiced a lot of other stuff. I suggest this as a possibility, not a
fact.

For example, Rick, as i understand it, you practice the mechanics of
TM, but with an Amma mantra. After some years of doing that, if
(hypothetically) you were in the domes promising to only do TM, your
intent I am sure would be pure to do so. But your mind is used to the
Amma mantra. Surely, that would arise as a thought. A charming one. I
suspect a subtle conflict or at least diversion might arise as
awareness takes TM mantra, then Amma mantra comes. I know Amma mantra
would be just like any other thought. But I sense things would get
muddled. So it may not be PURE TM -- even if you intended such.

Of course an separate issues is -- does it matter, if you are
transcending. My view is no, but if its not pure TM, I understand a
POV (TMO's) that PURE TM is what is desired in the domes.

And flying can get pretty wild. All sorts of stuff emerges. i can
envision a quite wierd but funny scene as persons of different
extra-curricula spiritual activities -- cluster and or face off
other groups, packs of one group or another like in pro bike races ..
And the mental (sub)vocal stuff emerging -- from the chanters and
bhajanees. Think about it. it could be quite the zoo, Perhaps a
wonderful zoo. And something that should occur somewhere sometime.
However, I GET IT, that the TMO does not want that in the DOMES.

you should be allowed to
 practice it in the dome.

This is a recurring POV that implies an entitlement. (Though your
words may be just casual use and not explicitly intending such an
implication.) Participating in the domes is NOT an entitlement. And
its certainly not some universal entitlment of Nature. Its the
activity of a private venture / club / school. As many acknowledge,
the owners of the club can set any qualifications and requirements
they want (as long as they are not racial, gender, etc. discriminatory).

What intrigues me is the large sense of entitlement that many appear
to have. Its sort of like me saying, I really should be permitted to
attend Harvard, because I can really make a big contribution to the
acadmetics and culture there (unsupported assertion). And its the
pinnacle of academic activity in the US and World. I DESERVE to take
part in it. Its my birthright!

Of course the above Harvard claim is silly. However, it appears
parallel to a lot of those (whiners?) who act as if participating in
the domes is an entitlement.

Anything outside of that is your personal business
and I think MUM shoots itself in the foot by concerning itself with
that.

We can all backseat drive MUM, the TMO and MMY's plans. But thats all
it is -- backseat driving, armchair quarterbacking, etc. Maybe they
(note the they not we -- we are not longer the movement) are
shooting themselves in the foot. Thats what freedom of choice is all
about. To be able to do wild and crazy things we think are useful
WITHOUT having to get permission from others or society or the gov't.
The TMO may seem crazy to you, but maybe they are onto something you
don't get (probably not -- but hey) and should be free to do their
wild and crazy things. 100 wild and crazy orgs will yield one or two
that are quite useful -- when everyone thought huh? back when they
were just a wild and crazy thing.

 To
whatever degree this policy has preserved the purity of the teaching (if
 there is such a thing),

Which is up to the TMO to determine the purity of THEIR teaching.
Purity of the teaching is not a universal force of Nature -- though
many act as if it were.

it has harmed it and created bad feelings to a much
 greater degree.

Perhaps. And that is a tradeoff the TMO had made. not really your
concern, IMO.

But it's not my university,

Yes.

and if that's the way they want
 to operate, it's their choice.

Yes.

That too is well and wisely put.

Yes.

So why dwell on it all?

Yes.

2006-08-08 Thread Rick Archer
Title: FW: 21st Century Books Newsletter: Number 22 * August 8, 2006

Last month Tony recommended Murphys Laws of the Inner Life: the unauthorized adventures of a seeker, by Michael William Murphy. I would like to second his recommendation and urge readers to buy and enjoy this excellent book.
Murphys autobiography is not only fascinating, but it is brutally honest, and extremely fair and well-balanced in his treatment of TM and the TM movement during his many years as a meditator, TM teacher, and finally professor at Maharishi University. His personal evolution and experiences in the TM movement ring very true and capture the general trend of experiences so many have had practicing TM and in dealing with the TM movement or organization. His descriptions of his experiences and the lifestyle and changes in Fairfield, Iowa do a fabulous job of capturing the feel of this very unique town. Whether or not you practice TM, whether or not you have ever lived in Fairfield, chances are you will enjoy this book as it has broad appeal and Murphy is an extremely skilled writer. (He taught creative writing for a decade, and his technical skills combine with his keen power of observation to craft a very deep, warm, and even humorous look at his 40 year quest for truth and inner peace.) Murphys book is a definite must read and will provide lots of joy and insight to those who choose to enter his inner life and external travels, which range from a Roman Catholic Seminary, to Southern India, with many stops with many teachers in between. This book is a lot of fun to read.

MMY's program as taught, nothing added or deleted,

At some point, if that
were really me, above, I would have to wise-up, mature sufficiently,
to realize that Harvard doesn't want me. Realize they are not as
convinced as I am that I am entitled to attend Harvard -- nor do they
share my strong conviction of of my huge potential contributions to
Harvard. However, this scenario appears parallel to a lot of those
(whiners?) who act as if participating in the domes is an entitlement.

Yes.

Sometimes it seems that we get off track;
Thinking too much of levitating, or the group practice.
And perhaps forgetting the goal of meditation is to become enlighened.
I am sure this was  Maharishi's goal when he was with Guru Dev;
And to gain full enlightenment;
I am sure he was not that much interested in levitation;
Or any specific abilities, other than full enlightenment.
And I would imagine his desire to be with his Master;
Would have dominated any desire for to have a group practice;
So, anyway, just some observations...

[FairfieldLife] 'When Did 'Flying'(levitation), Become The Goal?'

2006-08-08 Thread Robert Gimbel
When did the goal, of the TM movement;
Became more oriented towards 'powers', and 'flying'.
Then the origial intention of eyes closed;
experience samadhi, deep transcendence?.

Somewhere along the line;
The advertizing of people 'flying'
The proclamations of Bevan and others;
That the 'power' of 'group flying';
Would rule the energy of the world. ooh my!

Next came political parties,
And then adoption of countries.
Marble buildings and such.

Perhaps, we should have stuck to the more simple message.
Now close the eyes, and meditate,
All together now, wherever you happen to be;
and experience the unbounded experience of:
Samadhi..

No wonder so many 'regular' meditators gave up TM.
Not much attention was given to residence courses, and such
All the attention was given to the elite.

In the meantime, many good meditators were lost,
Because of lack of attention, and sense of community;

Yes, what is the harm? I don't think anyone has ever
run this by MMY. It appears to be very much a strong
attachment that the TMO has collectively. Like the
Nazis and their Aryan race of perfection. Same
 dynamic.

The guy who claimed that he was Shankaracharya of North America actively
encouraged
his folk to practice his techniques while people were in the domes.

Add to that the explicit warning that some techniques that are harmless for
TMers are
deemed harmful for TM-sidhas, and mix in a presumption that anyone who can't
see that
the TM-Sidhis large-group practice is best for evolution anyway (explicitly
stated by MMY)
is a bit off in their thinking (as was shown quite clearly by the woman whose
letter was
posted here) and you get a strong anti-other-techniques/saints attitude.

And don't rule out the use of nuclear force. Iran's leader has been

We must take these people at their word. I certainly hope Israel

2006-08-08 Thread Robert Gimbel

Hi Ken, Well I agree with you on most of your points; But the way I take Maharishi's name, is more of Shiva: or destroyer or ignorance. I still think he chose the fork in the road to cater to the people in the movement; Who wanted yogic powers( even John Lennon, I think was desiring these powers); So, I think Maharishi is still the 'destroyer of ignorance'; I just think that the greater numbers, and the appeal to he had to the masses; Was sacrificed for the teaching of these yogic powers; Perhaps in retro-spect, he could have saved these tecniques; For the one's who have since been the most devoted. And left the rest of us, just have ourtranscendental deep meditation; Discussions, residence courses, etc. R.G.Kenny H [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: RobertHi, my name is Ken Hassman, I was with the TM org for many years, fromthe year I started in 1969 all the way up to 1990, it was my whole life.I agree with you 100%. It is my opinion that once the focus was takenoff the twice per day for 20 minutes (TM in the AM and PM) and takingcare of the local meditators, it was all over. I was in the thick ofit (maybe you were too) and I have watched Maharishi systematicallydestroy his own creation. If, as his name-Mahesh (the GreatIshwara-Shiva) implies-he is the great destroyer, then this all makesperfect (I use that term loosely here) sense.Like yourself, I find this very sad indeed.Ken

I was just reading a commentary about present-day Cuba in which it
was described as an apartheid-like state: regular Cubans aren't
allowed in to shops reserved for tourists, different hospitals and
medical care for tourists and the Cuban elite, etc.

It seems to me that this may be an apt description for Fairfield as
well: good TMers allowed in the Dome; bad TMers who aren't.

The Nobel Peace Prize 2006 to Dan Gillerman?

Hearing this man explain to the world with force, patience and
compassion the real situation fills stirs the hearts of the righteous
with joy.

When this is over, the world will thank him and his fellow compatriots
for carrying the world on their shoulders in these perilious times
(i.e. once and for all sorting out the mad mullahs of the Middle East
and create a larger Kingdom of Israel along the 1967 6 day-war borders).

When this is accomplished, Sat Yuga is here!

I wouldn't worry about any Arab aftermath. Given the mentality on the
Arab street, someone firmly putting down their foot and laying out the
options for them will work like a charm.

What really makes this street boil is the perceived weakness of others.

An exception could be the Persians (Iran), who have a different mental
make-up. Unfortunatelly, the light at the end of their tunnel just
might be found at the end of the trajectory of a swarm of ICBMs.

Actually, no, he hasn't.

That's the meme that's been going around,
but it's inaccurate; what he said was *not*
clear and unambiguous by any means. The way
it was translated made it *seem* to be what
he was clearly saying, but according to at
least one expert, he was actually expressing
his hope for the fall of the current Israeli
government. He was alluding to a metaphor
that had previously been used by Khomeini
(which Iranians would quickly recognize), and
it was translated as if he'd meant it literally.

It was one of those complicated linguistic
and cultural misunderstandings, and it's been
exploited to demonize Ahmadinejad.

(And no, Shemp, I'm not suggesting he's a
peaceful humanitarian who wants nothing but
the best for Israel.)

2006-08-08 Thread bob_brigante
Application Meeting Thursday Evening for Advanced Techniques

It has just been announced that an Advanced Techniques Course will
be held
 in Fairfield August 15th and 16th, 2006.

The application meeting will be on Thursday night, August 10th, at
8:00 p.m.
in the Dreier Building on the M.U.M. campus.

Instruction will be on Tuesday, August 15th, between 12:30 and
2:15 p.m.

Follow-up checking is Wednesday, August 16th, between 12:30 and
2:15 p.m.

The time period between each Advanced Technique instruction should
be six
 months or longer.

 The course fee is $,3000

**

This probably means that the fee for basic TM instruction is going
up, too, from 2500 to 3000.

That's the meme that's been going around,

Here's an excerpt:

quoteOur dear Imam said that the occupying regime must be wiped off
the map and this was a very wise statement. We cannot compromise over
the issue of Palestine. Is it possible to create a new front in the
heart of an old front. This would be a defeat and whoever accepts the
legitimacy of this regime [Israel] has in fact, signed the defeat of
the Islamic world. Our dear Imam targeted the heart of the world
oppressor in his struggle, meaning the occupying regime. I have no
doubt that the new wave that has started in Palestine, and we witness
it in the Islamic world too, will eliminate this disgraceful stain
from the Islamic world./quote

[FairfieldLife] Re: My Dome Rejection From Shiva Ma Ryan, #'s

2006-08-08 Thread dhamiltony2k5

The majority of people who got their dome badges were not asked the
incredibly difficult questions I was asked, so they did not have to
lie face to face to someone,

Doug writing: Would the dome attendence numbers collapse, by half if
people were also generally required to sign foreswearing the
declarations that they are holding ShivaMa to as below? There are
probably easily 500 or 800 people in the domes just like ShivaMa who
have just seen the saints too.

I SEVERED
any connection I had with any saints and SEVERED the use of any
techniques that they had taught me, and that I would NEVER
establish
 a
connection with them again or practice any other techniques other
 than
Maharishi's, EVER AGAIN. And that I had to put all of this in
 writing,
promising that I would do this.

Would probably cut quite a swath in those left in the domes.

Please share this letter I wrote to John Hagelin with anyone you
 think
 may benefit from it.
 All Love,

 My Dome rejection

Shiva Ma Ryan to John Hagelin

 Aug 2 (5 days ago)

 Dear John,
I was told to e-mail you if I had any trouble getting accepted at
the
dome. Hence this letter to you, because I have been faced with one
of
the most difficult choices of my life. John will you PLEASE share
 this
letter with Maharishi, as I want Him to know THE REAL TRUTH
about
what has happened in Fairfield. Please read everything I have
written
in this e-mail John, I have tried to be as honest and
as TRUTHFUL
 as
I can. I also have suggestions at the end of this e-mail, that may
 benefit EVERYONE!

When I applied for the course, I was told I would need more time
to
 be
processed. I knew I probably would not get an immediate acceptance,
because a few years ago I applied and was asked if I practiced any
techniques other than Maharishi's.

The last time I saw Him was at The 7000 Course
in
1983. My heart was longing for him, So I felt that one by one He
started sending different saints to BLESS ME!!! Over the years, I
have received the GRACE and BLESSINGS from over 15 different saints
that have visited Fairfield since 1997. In 1994 my first GREAT
BLESSING was from MOTHER MEERA, in Germany. She changed my life
forever... I have had the GREAT fortune of traveling with many of
these DIVINE BEINGS. I am so GRATEFUL for the Love and Grace I have
been given from these PURE DIVINE MANIFESTATIONS of Gods and
 Goddess's.

I want to offer my HUMBLEST GRATITUDE to Maharishi for always
remaining in my HEART of HEARTS, since November 19, 1971. I will
be
 in
HIS ETERNAL DEBT for the GRACE HE SHOWERED upon me over and over
 again
throughout all these years. JAI GURU DEV MAHARISHI! I LOVE YOU SO
 MUCH.

At the course office, Jeff Cohen was so sweet and kind to me on
the
phone, going over the guidelines for acceptance for the course.
However the words he used when telling me what I needed to do, to
get
my badge, still penetrate me like millions of daggers in my HEART.
I
have not been able to shake them. {Please ask Maharishi to help me
with this.} He said I would be able to get my badge if: I
SEVERED
any connection I had with any saints and SEVERED the use of any
techniques that they had taught me, and that I would NEVER
establish
 a
connection with them again or practice any other techniques other
 than
Maharishi's, EVER AGAIN. And that I had to put all of this in
 writing,
promising that I would do this. For GOD'S SAKE, How in the name of
WHOLENESS! ONENESS! DIVINITY! and SELF REALIZATION! could I promise
that My SOUL WOULD NEVER ALLOW

[FairfieldLife] Reconciling the TMorg, moral chagrin

2006-08-08 Thread dhamiltony2k5
A large moral chagrin too in the TM community, as ShivaMa points
out:

The reason we have been asked to come together now in the DOME is
the
urgency of the World situation. It is because of a war about
RELIGIOUS PREJUDICE, that we are being asked to assemble.

The irony is large.
