Sharyl,
Don't give up hope that some are negative. Ours initially tested 4
negative, 1 pos. One of the negs was incubating the virus and tested
positive some weeks later, but the other three
were still negative 6 months later. Their feral momma tested Elisa
negative (didn't do IFA on her) and
Oh, damn. Condolences to all of you, and a gentle journey to Hennessey.

Check with Alley Cat Advocates or any TNR group in your area.
Consider them a feral colony. They will help you. Live trapping is
easy. Just remember to be very careful. A feral bit my finger and
broke it.and, two surgeries later, it is doing fine. Luckily I
had good insurance.
I would put them on lysine. I'm sure others will have more suggestions. But
younger cats can catch a cold so easily, and lysine helps with that.

It seems to me that this little guy is at your place for a reason. He

So glad that Snowball is

Hi Julie,
Good luck with the retest. I am not sure if anyone mentioned this or not, but
the kittens should be retested I think after a certain age, because they can
carry their mother's FeLV antibodies for a certain time and test positive even
though they may actually test negative at a later
Lynne, I don't know what to suggest. I believe in signs. Maybe BooBoo has
sent his son to you for help. You could call the humane society field worker.
Sounds like any home would be better than what he has now.

I don't know that I agree, it depends what the field worker will actually
do, and I'd find that out FIRST, before I did anything. Here they seize and
usually kill the animals.
