the whole page and below a 2-column textframe which holds
the actual index entries. My text frames are both "A".
Probably that?s the reason why your setup does not work.

Change Bars. The properties are part of the Page Layout.
Therefore you can make these properties part of your template
and import the Page Layout with the Change Bar Properties
into other files.

and delete all misspelled words. Then import the file to replace your current

I just read your post about line breaks.
What you can do:
In the paragraph designer in the Advanced tab change the Minimum
and Maximum values of your TOC paragraphs:
Minimum 200 %
Maximum 125 %
This will create an automatic line break shortly before the right end of the
lines.
