I just had a similar problem with my graphics card - It died. I
replaced the Geforce4 Ti with the stock Geforce 2 MX
and everything is back to better and normal. It's unfortunate that the
Geforce 4 didn't last longer for me.
Anyway, it may be your GPU is toast.
