Just bought the Plus version this morning Uk time from www.atguys.com recommended on the L-Works list. Got the key almost instantly. Posted on 13 Jun 2011 by Liam A few years ago, I released super Egg Hunt. I am absolutely amazed at how such a simple concept still is enjoyed to this day. so I wanted to do something special. In comes Super Egg Hunt Plus. what is Super Egg Hunt plus? It's the same great game, but with some extra features. first, there's game modes. Running around a grid picking up eggs is fine, but how can we change it up? Well how about a survival mode where once the chicken pecks you, it's game over. Or how about a run through a chicken coop. dodging more chickens and picking up eggs? How about a mode where Clocks work against you. Picking them up makes you lose time instead of gain it? and for those who want to go retro, there's the classic egg hunt. Just Eggs. Along with score boards and a extra special surprise, There is plenty of fun to be had. This isn't free is it? Super Egg Hunt plus does not have a fixed price yet. More information will be made availible when the release date is closer. so what if I just want to play the free game? there will be a free game, right? Of course. The free version is not going anywhere. Upgrading is totally optional. You will never be nagged or bothered about upgrading to plus. You'll be able to play the normal mode and post your scores like you always have. Is there a release date? Nope. Not yet. I have a target of around the second or third quarter of 2011, but things can change in a hurry and it could be done before or after that time. Go redownload it from the site. Liam broke something with the updater quite a while back, and everyone needed to redownload it. This should fix the problem. [Audyssey] super egg hunt feedback
Hay Liam Thanks for the update to super egg hunt. I managed to kill the chicken once thus far. It's a nice added challenge. I just noticed something minor. This only happens after playing the first game in a session. If I decide I want to play another game after the first one, I hit enter on start game. Then where you say ready, the sound is cut off, so I can't hear you saying ready. But this is definitely not major, I just thought of mentioning it to you. Nifty! Revenge is sweet. Just for an added twist, how about having the chicken respawn after one minute and keep track of the number of chicken kills players achieve. Hi Liam Thanks for the update. I enjoy the game, especially the boost mode. I have came across 1 bug. If the chicken is on my tail and I pick up a clock, the chicken does not get frozen. One of the reasons I don't have clocks effect boost time is it would be too easy to rack up a ton. When I first started testing I had collected enough eggs to get boost time to about 45 seconds at one point which was way too much. So I had to slow down the speed and lessen the initial time. I'm sure such considerations weren't exactly at the top of his to-do list. it was intended as an informal demonstration, not a professional presentation. And honestly, if he's not getting paid to produce the preview for a game which he's offering gratis, why does it matter whether or not the recording was "amateur" or "professional"? Back to relevancy: The preview was indeed amusing, and nicely demonstrates the capabilities of the upcoming release. The update concept is also a neat addition. Small point, but for fluency's sake, you might make the game wait to finish saying sending score, even if it doesn't take that long. Of course, others would probably prefer speed rather than verbosity. Point of curiosity: Did you rewrite Super Egg Hunt with BGT? I seem to remember you having mentioned something to this effect. You'll just have to wait. Creating a preview would take time away from creating the game, and he does not have much time for game creation to begin with because he works a full week. Hi, I'd also like to point out that software developers, as a rule, let you know when there is something significant to report. Otherwise you can assume he is either busy with his personal life, working on it, there is no new news to be had, whatever. Badgering the developer for news isn't exactly going to produce the results you seak, and may just end up ticking off the developer in the process. I can't say how many times I've been asked when the next update for Mysteries of the Ancients will be out. I haven't exactly set a date in stone, and at best my answer is I am working on it, and sometimes I will drop a couple of nuggets of bugs I've recently fixed. News from L-works: I am hoping in the next week to release super egg hunt 1.3. But I'm looking for any bugs or changes you might have found. The major update in this release will be new modes. What are new modes you ask? Well I've listed the possible modes below. normal game: standard game with eggs, chickens, clocks. The mode that has always been in the game. survival mode collect as many eggs, but once a chicken touches you, it's game over. Every ten seconds, the chicken gets a little faster. chicken coop smaller grid, and more chickens minute rush: collect as many eggs in 60 seconds as possible. no chickens and no clocks. classic just eggs Feel free to leave any comments you have. [Audyssey] Super egg hunt average scores
Hi Liam, If the eggs in Super egg hunt are spread at random, it seems that sometimes the pattern of eggs will be easier to score than other times. This means that the high scores listed are part luck of what pattern you get and part your skill. If you allowed each person to send all of their scores to the scoreboard and the scoreboard did an average of at least ten scores, then posted the average, this number would more represent the skill of the person playing the game. You could still let the player decide which scores to send but they would not be on the list unless they sent more than ten. Each time they sent a new score it would be added to the list of their scores and a new average would be determined. So a person scoring 100, once and 50 ten times would have a total of 600 and an average of 54. While a person scoring 75 eleven times or a total of 825 would have an average of 75. Change it in control panel, regional and language options, under advanced page, Select English United States. Anyway, not only streamway has issues with other language settings. I usually set mine to Chinese prc. With that, I cannot play any game by Jim Kitchen and GMA.
