That is correct. If you want a new
With 2.2, when making a selection, then creating a new image, the new
image dimensions were those of the selection.
This does not seem to be the case in 2.4, you get the default image size.

Nice work!
But i lack the possibility to set language in the config...
I run a English XP in Sweden, and the language setting gets scrwd.
And the "Fix" by setting the language fouls other applications i need.
And making the .bat file as mentioned on the webpages isnt working for
gimp-win-remote. (
Just for the record, in case anyone else is having the same problem on
Gentoo:
The problem was that Gentoo had the recent versions of Gutenprint which
support 2.4 marked as unstable. Allowing their use installed the proper
print dialog.

That's great, thanks.
Bought the book, by the way. Very useful even though I've been using Gimp

You could do a Soft Proof in GIMP 2.2 already. It only has become a lot
simpler in 2.4 and it

There are no enhanced CMYK capabilities in GIMP 2.4. Working in CMYK
colorspace is still not supported.

even small enough to download over dialup in an afternoon. I'll
