We have it running on our z15 and added shutdown boost to our automation . I
followed this white paper to have it set up. Since it is included in z15 I
can't see any reason not to use it. We have not measured if it helps ipl and
shutdown but it works without problems and that is good.

Hi Bill,
You didn't say what release you are on but starting in JES V2R3 there is JES
privilege support to handle this. Here is a link for an article from Mr. JES2

We did save our ptfs that were received during this time (41 ptfs) of which 9
were applied. This maintenance was on multiple systems spread over 3 sysplexs.
That made doing reapply's not a very desirable idea. We rejected the 41 ptfs
and received them again. Then we used GIMCPTS to expand both

We have a job summited daily to receive maintenance from Boulder via HTTPS .
The next on is not send until the first one finishes . We wait it out by
specifying WAIT(NOLIMIT), I see on Sunday we it was started at 5AM and finished
Monday (sucessfully) at Monday at 7:30 . That made a total of

Hi Kurt,

Hi Curt,
Thanks we are using that IP address since the change. Maybe it is just some
problem with Bouder's site.
Thanks.
Doug
Regarding testcase.boulder.ibm.com, I thought the IP address changed last year:

Another simple way to do this is a simple Rexx exec using MVSVAR to get the
system symbol that you want . See
https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/zos/2.5.0?topic=tef-mvsvar to see examples of how
to do this.
