It the lace panel is tacked on 'behind' the opening, the lace can be a

I also have used the stitch holders, but have recently found these craft
things (still cant remember what they are called:-) are kinder on my
spangles and also I can take a pair from either end where the stitch holders
had to be emptied from one direction only.

I agree with Malvary about the width.
I only came to like roller pillows when I was given a Swedish one, which
is more substantial than a foam one, and has a much wider
