called "The Lace Weaver" by Lauren Chater.
It'll be a while till I get to it but I'm always a bit wary when the author

It's called the BBQ Light by Coolabah so is probably only available
in Australia. The globe itself contains 12 small LEDs and they are
mounted on a long aluminium swivel neck.

It is not always necessary to use blue film on a pricking. I photocopy onto
blue card and do not cover it with film. I find the film too shiney when
making lace.
I have always bought the cheap shiney blue film from the newsagents
or the Reject Shop for about AUD $1 a roll. These

I'm sorry to say this, but the clothwork parts in David's piece look a little
suspicious. The passives make vertical ridges. That happens in machine made
laces, not handmade cloth stitch. And the picots on the edge are rather
peculiar, too. Far too long. But I'm not certain.
