Recentely i had the same problem with embedded fonts, they appear as ragged
when you use it, especially if you use color, but just changing the
antialiasing of the fonts in the property inspector to a really tiny size
did the trick in most cases. Somnetimes what i had to do was use background
need director to access the database and oad into memory the selected
images.

I am working on a project
i once saw a color picker with a bitmap as the color palette. If im not
mistaken is on the Director Online User Group (
http://www.director-online.com/ ) I don´t remember in which section it was
but it was quite nice working and it did not use Draw Xtra if i remember it
right and it worked just
This is the kind of job the i´ve been doing for the past two years and using
Director
The point is, it´s not quite as simple as it looks, especially regarding
documents in MS Word format. you should convert them to RTF first and even
then youll have to do some arrangement directily in Director.
I´ve been having the same exact problem in win 2k pro, can´t update the
changes without puppetsprite or can´t move the sprite around using lingo
without puppetsprite, so i think it´s no XP problem but something
altoghether different. My solution was to use puppetsprite whenever the
machine wanted
From what you tell it seems some kind of virus/hacker activity. Try using a
firewall or disconnect from the internet and try to boot the computer with
no connectiosn (if you haven´t done so already). If you did that maybe it´s
a virus or some kind of hack sent to you by someone when connected to
First. Sure you can protect your cst files. It works exactly like the dir
files. Same procedure for both. Regarding your linking problem maybe the
problem is that the casts are not linked to the dir file. The easiest way to
dothis is to throw any of the cast members you want to link into the
yes you can set the alpha to invert or not oçinvert but i think it works
only with bitmaps. The lingo command, if im not mistaken is
mypicture.image.alphainvert=true or something like it. i don´t remember i
exactly right now and dont have the lingo dictionary at hand at the moment.
ill post to you
If what you want to know is how a color expresses itself as RGB values it is
very esay. You select the color you want and the palettes in Director show
you its RGB values. You put myobject.color=rgb(red value, green value, blue
value) and that´s it. Is this what you were looking for?

, but it seems youll have to rewrite quite
a lot of code.
Isn´t it annoying when you find out that something is not working
corretly just when you are deep inside coding and have done most of it,
and it is just (at least in this case) from some malicious glitch in
Director.

Well, thinking of it that way you are right, maybe it´s not a lgitch after
all, ok, but you must aree that is very annoying whrn you want four texts
onscreen and just have to creae four different members just to put a text
beside a picture or something like that, but youre right when you say that
well, i don´t know if this will work for you. But i display my toolpis
onmousewithin, it works fine and you don´t have to worry about
rightmouseclick or leftmouseclick. But, again, i don´t know if this will
look fine on your projrct. Regarding your question i don´t know why that
happens, but my

well, i don´t know if this will
YES, that is right. Director 8.0 won´t work with QT 6.3. By the way. Why
are you using a .mov on a win platform? Why not just using a win media
player file or an .avi? It´s much better for compatibility and itwon´t
affect quality so much. You can even use DIVX if you want. AFAIK DIVX causes
the pics (again, so many
questions...)
Thanks in advance

what you describe. the only way i had to fix it was start with another
director movie from scratch and work it from there. Anyway in authoring the

Few ideas, maybe you already explored these, but here they go. Fisrt one,
problems with the burning, some CD´s rhat work on macs, burned on macs,
don´t work on PC´s. Second does the win machine have shockwave installed?
From here it could be some magic thing because it should work. shockwave is
of the
way. Well if anyone has any ideas about this i would appreciate the comments
im in a blank here now,

HI,
Ive been doing this for a hypermedia center. We used a PLC for lights,
Visual Circuits Reeltime4 for video and projections and Max, via UDP
connection, on a Macintosh. We developed the Xtras for the plc and reeltime
to use with lingo and the udp support to send information to Max. If you
