Not with LyX, as far as I know. But everything is possible with latex. In
particular, the command \parshape allows you to build paragraphs of
arbitrary shapes. The package shapepar, which is built on top of parshape,
provides a few basic shapes, including a circle. You may want to checkout

I never knew Okular could do document statistics. Is it a
plugin/extension/whatever? My version of okular does not seem to have any
facility of the kind. I use pdftotxt | wc -w when I need to obtain final

L Lyx file allow XLS-translations to XML-based word-processing
formats?
That would solve once and for all (hopefully) the problem of the Lyx-->Word
conversion that still plagues those of us working in the Humanities (At
least, it still affects me).

That's why we in the Humanities are stuck with Word as a publishing
tool---because it used to work well as a drafting tool when the industry
worked differently, not because we do not use equations.
