Hi All
A friend has offered me a free Credenza cabinet with motor but no horn.
How tough should
for the tonearm.
You might find a horn, but even if you don't, you'll have a nice cabinet.
You could set a TV in there. hehe

Hi All
A friend has offered me a free Credenza cabinet with motor but no horn.
How tough should it be to get a Credenza horn? Perhaps out of a beat up
is
really good and has a good grill and grill cloth I would think twice about
taking it.

That sounds like the cylinder recorder that used to be sold from some outfit on
the east coast, I have forgotten the name...you could record from your cylinder
machine onto your computer or thru your stereo.

I think the clock is certainly real... these clocks are very common

It's the glass in question here, that is what would add value to it.

if there is a tonearm or not, I will have to find out. Did
the Credenza have the two or four spring motor? I saw a motor
represented as a Credenza motor on ebay, and it had two springs. The
owner of the cabinet says he has a four spring motor for it.
Any info/leads are very much appreciated!
Thanks

Interesting..I always wonder when they say they are not sure...I have seen a
lot of Crap-O-Phones sold by sellers who were 'not sure' if they were
original...To me 'not sure' means a. you didn't research it and really don't
know what you're selling or b. you may be committing fraud and looking
That is a very good point, but on the other hand, let's say I want to bid on
your item, but I can only afford to bid a limited amount. I ask your reserve,
and you reveal it to me and it is above the limit I can spend. Why should I bid
my limited amount and wait out an auction for several days

By the way, I noticed that both the first person to point it out and myself
both use Yahoo products, but none of my other mail comes in double only phono-L
postings. Still the best board in town!

Reserves are a good way to insure you get a reasonable price. Of course,
reasonable is subjective...I would never put a phonograph on without a reserve,
as the market has softened so much that I am afraid I would lose money on the
deal.
I once put a Gem on with a reserve of $450, it didn't
