Yes. As long as there are no more than 500 tracks in the list, that

Hello all.
I have just reinstalled LMS from first principles on my Windows 10
machine using the 7.7.5 download from My Squeezebox.
I am a heavy user of BBC iPlayer and iPlayer Extras but in recent years
have had many problems with buffering and long start times (esp on live

Have you checked to see if there are updated versions of Custom Clock

Yes, it's a low power desktop part from about ten years ago. But it's
full x64 class architecture, it's not a processor geared toward the
embedded market like Atoms or ARM.
This has two real x86_64 cores.

Could you remind me how I would check for later versions? I can't see
any obvious ways to manually update the applet (v2.11.139) or plugin
(v2.10.92).

There were no preferences hanging around. It was a completely clean

There was no problem with iPlayer Extra. It works fine. The only problem
was with the iPlayer live streams.

So you manually deleted them - LMS does not delete old pref with an

I've no idea what 'arch' means but:

AMD Dual Core Processor, 4850e, 2.50Ghz

Yes, I did. The log file shows that I paused and played a track and then
paused it again. That track was a Spotify track, which I browsed to

I know but there are big differences in dual core such as Atom vs
Celeron and are AMD dual core "real" or like "hyperthreads".
The details don't matter but the AMD datapoint is useful.

Thanks, but how anyone not utterly immersed in this stuff could be
expected to trawl through that or even understand much of it is beyond
me.

I understand the dilemma but posting about LMS 7.9 in a forum which is

If you add any of the V1.5 repo above - LMS plugin manager will look

OK - PlayHLS uses ffmpeg/avocnv to play stream nothing to do with
BBCiPlayer plugin and also nothing to do with most of LMS I/O
Problem
Just for the record, iPlayer v1.4.10 works fine on my WHS v1 server (LMS
7.8.0), streaming live 320kbps AAC Dash to a Receiver ie. uses
transcoding. As I understand it this is just about the most troublesome
combination on Windows (with the possible exception of the same
combination using HLS)

I'm still not clear what works in your setup - trying to separate
