IMO, Congressman Rahm Emanuel is a great choice, and I heard that he has
accepted the position. When you're trying to run the white house you need a
Rahmbo to keep folks in line. I see no reason the chief of staff should be

in my humble opinion, MAGLEV has two geat drawbacks :
first it can't go in center town without building new tracks. On the
other side, running on standard railtracks allows HST to use the 'old
stations' that are, at least in Europe, inside each town.
second : points are very difficult to build
There is no history of riding trains in America since the invention of the
automobile. While Europe never stopped riding trains, here in America, Buses
and Cars replaced trains except for subways.
I also enjoyed riding a train in Germany, but it just isn't practical in the
US.
