Greg,
Can you use another wheelchair provider, or are you stuck using Preferred?
I've
had my delays with them too so I may use United Seating [Phoenix] next time.
AZ's Medicaid long term care program [ALTCS] contracts with Preferred [and a
few
others] to do durable medical and equipment
I would not have settled for getting it back UNTIL it had been checked out
IN THEIR PRESENCE and BEFORE you found out the problems. Whenever I have
that anything done to my chair... everything is checked out before it leaves
their property.
Doing/settling for anything else (or less) is pure

FYI, I used to cover my headrest with a 2.5 gallon freezer bag. It was real
thick and easy to put on. It doesn't look good, but it works much better
than the grocery bag solution. Not to mention you can carry a lot of items
in it when you're not using it.

Take or have a picture taken of your chair and its damage, before it leaves
your possession. Its easy and a picture is worth a lot of words when
repairs go south.

Hi Gregg,
Sorry to read of your issue and yes it sounds like you pop'd a circuit
breaker or fuse. That can happen when something protected is forced for any
reason. As a chair owner, you should know or be made aware of any place on

Hi, looks like I can get in to a shop today.

then order parts, receive parts, only then can I set an appointment for

Are you sure that its not an E 9.2 error code? or an E 9.1 code. Those
are complicated faults.
I don't dare speculate on those kinds of faults. Let us know what your
service provider suggests.
