Hi All:
A happy, healthy and prosperous 2010 to all.
My new years resolution is to clear up my issue of receiving 2 copies of
every email from VFB.
It started a while back and I am finally trying to sort it out. Can
someone who had this problem please tell me what to do to sort it out?
Hi All:
A merry Xmas to all.

Has anyone seen a great sale on these items??

I am looking for PECCARY hairs. If I am not mistaking the spelling,

Hi Iain et al:
I will try to redo the flies over the coming week (sorry about causing
all the trouble!) and ensure they are sent out to all seperately in the
next week. You will all get your complete set.
If someone can mail me copies of the addresses for all concerned, I will
get it done from
Thanks for that. Some very interesting hooks there. Interested in

I have been thinking about unusual hooks and was wondering what you all
have come across. For example, the hooks that come with attached posts,
weird bends, weird japanese stuff,etc.
Pictures or links would be nice. Did you find them useful or a sham?

Interesting, but I don't know if I would use it personally. Extra
weight added, a lot of post of which only a tiny proportion would be used.
Have you used it? Any positives?

I am salivating.

What sort of reel would one use for such a rod, I have always been a
sucker for ultra light rods, but never seen a reel small or light enough
to accomodate them.

If for some reason you wanted to use balsa instead of closed cell foam,
you can buy balsa shaped circular in long rods from a model shop or
sometimes hardware stores for only a couple dollars, and they can be
easily shaped by putting a nail through the centre and into a dremel or

Hi all:
Looking at Hatches magazine, I began to think about all the types of
marabou and which birds they come from.
Any articles discussing the 'puff types'(like big CDC puffs), blood
feathers (the really long stuff used to wrap bodies of baitfish), etc??
Thanks,

Don't get jealous that he is an expert. Anyone who ties that many flies
must be goodor extremely bored, or living in Nigeria.
How about we get one of those Nigerians who tie 10,000 flies a year to
writ a book...or to atleast offer to share with us a US$72 billion
