ect: Re: Temporary fix for netflix audio description on the 4th gen apple TV Yes, that’s how it’s supposed to work, but since the new apple TV app didn’t support it from the start, they’re offering that fix until they get the issue resolved. On Nov 4, 2015, at 11:04 PM, Brent Harding <br...

Re: How to deal with call waiting.

2015-11-04 Thread Brent Harding
Yes, hold and mute are a little harder in that you have to hide the keypad to get to those. Even in iOS 8.4 for me, Voiceover goes to the low quality mode on my iPhone 6, so that fix must be in a later batch of 6's or something. - Original Message - From: joseph hudson To:

Re: T-Mobile’s network extender lets anyone use your Internet bandwidth

I wonder what the difference is between the previous router and a normal wifi router? I suppose TMobile's has some kind of quality of service built in to prioritize your connection for calls to go through, where most of the modem/gateways I've had only do that by device or wired port. -

I doubt they charge you for the data connection you basically provide them to rebroadcast. As far as I understood it, they are like mini cell towers that connect back to the carrier's network over the public internet through whatever router you plug it into. I wonder if it would be legal to use

Re: Remote desk top apps?

2015-10-15 Thread Brent Harding
NVDA and JFW remote desktop support would require those screen readers to also be installed on the server as well. Although this would seem like a reasonable accomodation for a place to do, since the server doesn't need a license separate from the client you access it from, I heard that

Are they restricting it to desktop and tablet only like ESPN tends to do for NBA radio coverage? I'm glad I will be able to just buy this and get the Packers feed, plus Sunday and Monday night again, as long as I can airplay it through my phone. - Original Message - From: "Chris

Also, it depends if the subscription is handled by logging in to the account online, where it would be tied for all devices, or an in-app purchase that is an auto-renewing subscription. If it is paid through Tunein on the web, you probably can technically share your login to it, but they

I wonder if Ivona is shutting down because for a company like Amazon, we aren't a big enough market? I heard awhile back that Amazon is who owns Ivona now. I'm sure most of the other voice venders like Nuance are in plenty of things that aren't blindness or disability specific though. -

I remember back when that System Access To Go's speech would say fathoms where FM should've been in radio listings. The ones I really found annoying were back in school when they used Kurzweil 3000 to try to turn scanned books in to audio, hearing web addresses completely pronounced with all

In 8, when I have to copy garbage strings, I have VO speak it and then the 3 finger quad tap, but you often get extra junk with it as well that you don't want in there because it literally copies what VO spoke. - Original Message - From: "Mary Otten" To:

I think Sprint will only domestically unlock either the 5S and up or the 6 and up. The big question will be whether to buy out my lease after it is up or get what will probably be the iPhone 7 by then. I thought about switching to TMobile at that point, but they're new in my area, and I don't

I tested the beta on the old 4S that I don't have active service on. Did they fix the bug that would sometimes make streaming audio sound like the chipmunks? I was playing Tunein radio on it at the time of that first public beta, and VO and everything started playing fast with the high pitch

One start, and the site isn't the most accessible, is the liste Mastercard has of merchants who take contactless payments, or pay pass. Apple Pay is compatible with that, so it should work at most stores on that list. - Original Message - From: "Mary Otten" To:

The packers seem to be a hard one to find their feed of. I'd say they have pretty good talent on there, and being in Wisconsin, that's the one I would want to listen to. I guess Fox or CBS on TV will have to safice because it isn't worth $23 a month to subscribe to Sirius just for that. It
