I've always had various problems when dictating
However, since I got my new phone yesterday, it honestly seems to be at
it's worst. As I mentioned in an earlier message, all my settings were
transferred over. At least, the majority of them. Which was a great thing.

hint "Double-tap to start dictation" finishes speaking before I double-tap to
begin dictating.
You can probably solve the problem by turning off the hints in settings -
General - VoiceOver.

Google Voice Input works far better for my language than Siri

markets. It's not available where I am in New Zealand, but based oN David
Woodbridge's podcast, he has it in Australia. It's certainly available in the
US. So if dictation doesn't work for you when you turn Airplane mode

The only thing there was in dictation is to turn dictation on or off. I also
checked in the English keyboard and there was nothing about dictation there.
Just different layouts of the keyboard.

Very odd that they would be that specific and it not be there.

I just went through all of the settings in the 6S plus, and found no reference
to any off line dictation.

available in the 6s or 6s plus models and that it is not enabled by default.
You have to go into the Settings, General, Keyboard, and download the offline
dictation files and that is only available for English

I’m wondering if offline dictation is available on the iPad Air 2? I heard a
podcast that said it was only on the iphone. Is this right? Also can it be used
anywhere else besides notes, like ms word?
