I just read online that on April 1, 2012, The Andy Griffith Rerun
Watchers Club claimed that, with the help of many members and different
ancestry web sites, they could reveal the identity of the actor who played
Mr. Schwump. They claim that his name was Patch S. Wimmers. They say he

I could only come up with 5 TAGS episodes that mention cameras or
photos. The first is episode #41," Crime Free Mayberry". In this episode
about a phony FBI man presenting Andy and Barney an award for a very low
crime rate in Mayberry. In the episode, the phony newsman takes a picture

I could only remember two of Barney's middle names. Those two were
Tibbs and Milton. However, after a little research, I found that the third
middle name was Oliver. There were times when Barney also used the middle
initial P. I researched several sources, but no one knew what the P stood
All of the odors and animals that have been named were great
choices! I have an animal and odor that go together and another animal
also. I'm not sure if anyone listed these yet. The animal and odor that go
together are the fish that Opie caught and he placed it in the desk drawer

I just finished reading the book Andy & Don, which was published in
2015. I think that the highlight of the book was what a caring and sincere
friendship that Andy Griffith and Don Knots shared. It was the kind of

We took our first trip to Mt. Airy last weekend and had a ball. Ate at the
Snappy Lunch, the Bluebird and Barneys. Had ice cream at Aunt Bees. The Andy

Gomer Pyle USMC episode In the 4th season called Gomer and the night club

The second thing I noticed in that episode is when the Governor does come
they learned pretty quickly that anything they tried to follow up TAGS
with, wouldn't work. It would always be compared to TAGS which would be
impossible to follow. Of course, there was also CBS' ditching every 'country'
show in favor of shows like All In The Family, in the late 60s.
