I would agree to that. I saw one with a P7 call yesterday that looked quite
legitimate. My finger wanted badly to click on it but I said "no, wait...".
Never saw it again. Despite what the nay-sayers claim, FT modes do require some
human thought to get the best out of them. :)

Thanks Kari. That sounds like a viable option. Can you tell me how you did
that? I'm not a code warrior. I am an old DOS/Windows guy. I can follow good
instructions and do some logical troubleshooting but I'm not well versed in
making the compiler do cool tricks. :)

course, you will have to make certain that WSJT-X is set to the

The solution would be to switch out of hound mode and send manually. Which is
appropriate especially if the station was operating MSHV, but you do not need
to be in Hound mode to work a Fox. I stand by what I wrote.

Auto sequencing is not perfect and will fail eveyone sooner or later. In

As a very active CW operator, I view this as a VERY BAD move. The
presence of FT4 in that region is a most unwelcome intrusion. I view it
as the only major bad judgement call by the WSJT team.

The only reason I call with TX1 most of the time is that I'm a K9 living
in W6, and don't want the other station to swing their beam in the wrong
direction. I've lost QSOs that way. :)

Well Gary, in the case of the USA the stateside "locals" are happily working
each other over and over again on HF, with relatively few trying to work DX.
I can't comment on six since I don't have a presence there.

I would like to see a defined DX window also. Despite the WSJT-X magic ability
to separate signals the DX is often buried under the "locals".
