Of course they would install something that wasn't needed. I think it 
is some agreement between corporations, so that one doesn't look 
particularly evil next to another. Besides, what do we expect from a 
company that decided we need to pay $30 for the drivers for a machine 
that only costs $15!

BAH!!!! Well, at least the equipment is good. Despite my belly aching, 
I've got two UMAX scanners and a S900. Wouldn't trade them for the 
world, well maybe the world. I always did want to be dictator of a 
small country when I was young.............
