Steve, I am using the burner for back up and archiving digital pictures. I haven't tried any music yet, but I do want to explore that when I have time. I've been making some MP3 mixes of favorite songs and wanted to burn them to CD to give to friends -- like making mix tapes back in the good old days when music was on vinyl and the technology rarely failed ;-). So for now the internal CD player isn't an issue but I will try turning off VM if the Push Button (mentioned by Robyn yesterday) isn't the problem. Thanks for the tip.
