Blue Hills Trail update...

The EastSide was groomed with a Tidd Tech Thursday, March 21 and limited areas received touch-up grooming Friday; the WestSide was groomed Friday, March 22.  A striding lane was set in most areas.

Skating conditions today (Saturday, March 23) were excellent with sunny skies, temperatures in the low thirties, and recent grooming providing conditions mimicking the best of mid-winter skiing.  The base is firm providing good pole plants, the snow was fast, and edge control was great -- can't ask for better skating conditions.  The striding lane appears to be in good shape as well.  Don't be fooled by the lack of snow in your neighborhood -- plentiful snowfall the past month (about 30 inches since February 20) has spread an abundant base throughout.
