Blue Hills Trail report...
Lots of fresh snow! Ten inches by this
morning (Friday, March 15). All of the WestSideTrail and the majority of
the EastSideTrail was groomed today by rolling the fresh snow and setting
a track for the striding lane. This relatively moist snow compressed nicely,
and skiing could again be great this weekend as the snow sets up overnight.
Leave your rock skis in the closet --
the base is more than adequate throughout.
A word of caution: the Fire Lane Road was unplowed as of Friday evening,
and the trailhead is best accessed with a high clearance vehicle with 4WD.
When the plow passes through, this information will be placed on the
website
ASAP.
