Hello. My Calendar Creator is working for me. You didn't mention which

I was asked to demo how to make a list of names in the family file, and from
that list, take out everyone with a first name, known *full* middle name,

middle name and/or only the middle initial is known. In Legacy, I don't
spend
research time trying to find a name that wasn't there.

If I wanted to start with person X (Let's say my mother's mother's mother,
my Ggrandmother), and find all of her ancestors and tag them, what would
you do?
When I try this, I am tagging people in one of the other familial branches,
and I would like to avoid that.

Does anyone know how to print a list of names in the family database sorted
by color first (Blue, green, red, yellow, or no color), then last name,
first name? It would greatly help me with my current project if I could
print the entire family file sorted this way.
Thank you.

There is a Master List of marriages. Would this help? Go to View Marriage
List, or simply CTRL - M. You can sort the marriages by husband, by wife, by
their first name (either partner), or simply by MRIN.

Ok, I will try it. If I make a list of PPR, do you want me to just say I
made the list or send the list of problems to you?

Unfortunately, no.
There has been discussion of using adaptive software so that it will, but it
is VERY painfully slow.

What I mean is the software to adapt it to Mac is SLOW, not the
discussion. -Robert

Well, yes, and no. I can look for a certain word, say Appomattox for
example, in notes, but I have to go through each Note type. That is, I need
to check Notes-Birth, Notes-Burial, Notes-Christening, Notes-Death,
Notes-General, and Notes-Research. Not bad to do, but I know what you mean
by
Dennis, about the first one, I checked my own locations and found some
locations for which I have two of (one being city, county, state, and the
other was worded as state, county, city). One has a short location name
filled in but the other did not.
Another thought- in Options Customize View,
Patricia,
If you don't mind, can you send me a screen shot of this problem directly to
me? You can use the sample file (Asa Brown). I'd like to check it and see if
I can come up with a solution for you. I will take a look at if after lunch.
