For anything that you may want to eventually remove, this is by far the best double sided tape I have ever used: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXAX29&P=7 It holds up to heat and cold very well and if you ever want to remove it you can peel it off without any residue staying behind. It has a very strong hold. You can probably get it at your local hobby shop, but don't get suckered into buying any other servo tape, the MIP stuff is unique and quite superior to everything else they would have. The profile of both sides of the tape are shaped like little mushroom heads and are made from a Nylon type plastic. They also have the 3M VHB adhesive on the back. They do hold the transponder to the winshield very securely. I got mine from the Tollway Authority, I just got one transponder for every car; the only thing I have to transfer now are my sunglasses and V1. He claims that it was due to a lot of driving in San Francisco when his old Maserati was out of commission (he drove an '83 Quattroporte as a daily driver). Of course, I've made numerous trips to San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, did an auto-x or two and use my cabrio as my daily driver and (knock on wood) I'm approaching 186,000 miles on the odo and I'm on the same clutch since I got the car over 7 years ago. That being said, its probably about time for a new clutch. I'm thinking about doing the M20 flywheel conversion, or possibly having a machine shop lighten the current one. Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> A recent inquiry (lots of tugging, prying and jouncing with various suspension parts removed) into a rear suspension noise I have leads me to discover some play in the rear upper ball joint of my e36 M3. I *think* this is the source of my suspension noise but it is hard to tell. This is the outer joint of the upper control arm link to the rear hub. It would appear I have play in both left and right sides. It looks like press fit too. Special tool required I assume to do this in-vehicle. Perhaps a trailing arm removal and press would work? (might be the simple solution but more labor is required and an alignment needed post repair) Looks like this is perhaps the tool set? Their reply was it depends on the color of the decal on the side of the transmission. Early G280 transmissions have a green label and these use Redline MTL. For those G280s with a pinkish label, use Redline ATF. Hth Richard Beaver '85 Euro M5 > Hi all, > Another tired topic, but I am looking for E34 M5 specific > recommendations for transmission oil.
