That is a good question. No if you were a support person or sales
person you can't be an expert on every program. But since I used to
work in Tech Support for SuperMAC Technology back in the 80's and 90's
I had to know enough to know how to find answers. I had to know some
products inside and outside. But all I need enough knowledge to get
answers, and solve problems for.
We used our Macs to aid us in that. Had a wonderful program called
Affini File. Worked from the apple menu and was a very simple but
effective database. So with today's technology being oh so much better
I expect sales people to find answers. Especially something that was
mentioned on many news services and some guy out in Cupertino who I
hope they all know of.

You, yourself, may not be able to use it effectively, or it might
take a huge learning curve to do so, and you're not getting paid any
more whether you know it or not, and again, maybe one in a thousand
people actually might have a question about it?…
