Jason, I saw that error on a 32-bit Win2k3 system installation. The problem had to do with a group domain policy that prevented the domain from caching the server name or something. To test that, see if you can start the service if the machine is disconnected from the domain. If so, that's it.

Just a thought :) Have you tried having him open record somewhere (test form, test Incident, etc) and enter $GROUPS$ into a field and save. This will resolve to the groups he is a member of. Then compare that to what is in the User form. This might help show something like what Rick was talking
