There's no catch, however, there's also no genuine accessibility for it.  My X-Touch setup will work with Platinum, but unfortunately, it's limited, too, especially with the buggyness of Sonar, that is not on the surface.   Infact, the 2017 September update, or whatever the last one was,  caused more problems than it fixed.  Will they actually fix this DAW?  Only time will tell, but honestly, since switching to Reaper, I have not looked back.Infact, I've gotten to where I can use Reaper a lot like Fruity Loops.

Well, the reason I prefer Bookshare is because I prefer to read my books in Braille. They usually are my go to if I need a book in brf format. While BARD sometimes has things that Bookshare doesn't, I've found the reverse to be true in most cases that I'm looking for, so Bookshare is the first place I go.

What's the error message? Sometimes it can be an easy fix. Alternatively, there is a shortened tracking option if in the game you type options general, and I think it's number 12 or 13? It still is more verbose than is necessary, but the direction is at least the first thing spoken before the ship designation.

Actually, the only security measure I've seen BARD use, besides enforcing fairly strong passwords is to force you to change your password, but I've seen them do that only once in the almost five years I've been using tham.And, for what it's worth, I prefer BARD's audio recordings of a real person reading the book over Book Share's having a TTS voice do it. But I will use Book Share for books that BARD doesn't have because a TTS voice reading a book is better than no book to listen to.

The data for the game is not being saved. Every time I restart my computer, the game starts with the language selection list and typing in a username. Has anyone else been having this problem? The only thing that broke for me between 15 and 17, and it may not even be vs's fault who knows, 15 was able to work with NVDA's indent functionality to read or play intent tones, 17 isn't. Other than that, its fine, what's the issue.

I think everyone should be careful about uncited statistics that are casually thrown around. It's not just about this subject, but in general, people are often far too quick to swing the odds in their favor without researching things first, making bold and grandiose claims which never quite seem to hit their mark. It really pisses me off. It's sort of like the 70% unemployment rate among the blind, which, incidentally, made the 99% of businesses are willing to hire blind people statement downright laughable, if we are to believe that 70% statistic which has been floating around for forever and a day. Yes, it is true that blind people are passed over for jobs that they are qualified for, but that 70% has been static for as long as I can remember. Nothing stays the same for that long, especially not when we're talking about human behavior. I'd like to see actual, quantifiable data, backed up by solid research about these types of topics, but I don't think it will ever happen.

update! it is not mono, that was just a problem with the videos. here's a video clip that is not in mono, showing that it does indeed use spatialised audio, in conjunction with the spoken cues.the visual content of the video is a car driving towards a destination, with pins to either side of the destination representing enemy cars. at one point while the destination is far away and multiple enemies are on screen the car stops and the scan command is triggered, making it read out the screen contents in speech + stereo. Anyone else had luck with this game? Was thinking about this again, desperately in need of a good online game to play, but still not a fan of the idea of presing ctrl+c for everything, especially since I understand chinese... but no matter what happens, sapi is all that's supported and there's no way to get it to read properly.

@black and white: Trust me when I say VS is perfectly usable. I use VS2017 to write my code on my computer, accept when I'm writing code over SFTP (then I use Notepad because filezilla doesn't like VS). But its perfectly usable.

@Jeff, yeah, a jailbreak is the only possible way I can see an app like tasker working on IOS. But to integrate Tasker with something like the Google Home, I'm not sure if Apple's hardware will allow that kind of interfacing with non apple products. But we shall see. I'm just glad I'm out of the garden now, though I won't deny it still has its merits.

Base combat like this once it's been established probably won't change. I stil say the fact that it's again the old hear and react approach is disappointing, with no free movement or possibility for strategy. Even timing doesn't sound very strict. But we will see, I suppose. It definitely sounds like an interesting premis, dull combat aside.

Oh no sorry that's my bad choice of wording. I was just trying to be clear that I was talking about acrobat editor rather than acrobat reader. It's creating and editing PDFs that is the exclusive feature, not accessibility. Acrobat editor is just a way to go back in and fix PDFs that the creation process broke.. the creation process is where the accessibility responsibility lies.But that has actually worked fine here. Powerpoint exports alts by default, you have to tick a box in the PDF export options menu to disabled it, and it has exported them here.. there's just some issue with them being able to be read out in the web viewer. If you download the PDF and just view it in regular acrobat viewer the alts works fine. They're there, just blocked by the web viewer.

hi,about editor, i use notepad and for compiling, i use vs2015fortunately, it works with nvda (the solution explorer, output window, menu bars etc)previously i used code::blocks (nvda doesnt support it) with both mingw and mingw-w64both minGW and minGW-w64 are ports of gcc for windows, but mingw-w64 is the version that gets updated (gcc itself can be compiled for windows by msys or cygwin, that's how they compile it)for developing audiogames with C++, it is somehow like other games but omit the graphic part (if you dont need graphic at all) but there are libraries to help you develop your game

@Nick that is actually an interesting point that you make. I don't know the answer to your question, but I have a story and maybe some reassurance for you. Some games have done this in the past on consoles, not too many, but a few. However, if something like this was to happen, it won't last long, it'll be quick enough that you should be able to get through that beginning section. The only example I can really think of, is a mainstream game called Heavenly Sword.In Heavenly Sword on the ps3, the first time you boot it up, and this is quite literally only the first time, you are presented with a special scene. This then leads into a sequence that lasts around a minute, letting you play at the main character's full power, to allow for a bit of dramaticness, before creating your profile and then dropping you in the main menu. When you boot the game up again, it just drops you into the menu without doing this scene. Moments like this are quite special. Another moment was wii sports resort, which, the very very first time you boot up, takes you into the skydive minigame so it's like you are landing at the resort. It's more of a bit of fun to be honest, and nothing to worry about because once again, this little experience was very short and you didn't have to worry about it again.

I love these games, due to the atmosphere and open world rpg elements.  problem is when this genre is done right, I get far too involved in my character, so I can't bring myself to do the unspeakably bad coices where treating people are concerned.  I gotta try that though and see what happens.

Ian,first of all, before anything, we really need a text to speech  system inside this game, to tell us our laptime whenever we complete our laps.now, what is in my mind, is that alongside of assists, there should be audio queues  that would help us to  steer the car much more better, to  improve lap times. this game is all about lap times, so i think that would make more sense.in this game, the super easy steering will still give you a small window to correct car steering;, therefore,  audio queues that would help you to not scrape the walls, and not to oversteer, and to  let go of the throttle before we hit a turn, could help us to improve our laptimes.This is a right way to start. then from then, we could rely less on  auto steering and auto breaking, and more on audio queues.the problem is, what sort of audio queues, and  I don't even know if the developers of this game would be up to put in any.

The audio adventure is called: RuneScape Quests: One Piercing Note. It's a choose your own adventure style, where you have multiple choices. The voice recognition is surprisingly good, however, I don't know if that's normal for all Alexa games. The audio is amazing and the voice actors are great as well.The cool thing about this game is the puzzles. I've only completed the first part of the game, and I've seen one audio puzzle so far. I won't spoil the puzzle, but you have to listen for the right sounds. I don't know how many parts the game contains, and I don't know if the story changes depending on what choices you make.The game is free, since I don't know how to buy anything on the Alexa yet. I've started the process of investigating about making my own maps. I really like the starship war thing, and I'm making a few maps for the template version of it. The first one will be sort of like one of the early missions in the normal version where you have to stop an asteroid from smashing into a planet, this one will be stopping a plague ship from contaminating a planet. The plagueship is automated, all the crew having been killed off. You will have to intercept and destroy it before it enters the orbit, which will probably be 5 squares of radius from the planet. Unlike the ELE mission though, the ship entering orbit will not instantly mean defeat, it will begin to contaminate the planet though, and once the contamination reaches 100 or whatever, then your mission will end. TO help out with this, the planet will lose some of its contamination each turn due to doctors administering curatives, but you can also beam down medical teams to help with this.Another facet of this mission is that before the crew were killed off, they implemented an automation program into the computer of their ship, this automation program has broken own though, and is why the ship has gone off course. It was supposed to fly into a sun and destroy the ship, thus destroying the plague, but seeing as how none of the crew were working at their best being affected by this plague, it failed, and its course got inadvertently set to collide with this planet, but will just be pulled into orbit. The ship's automated defenses are active though, and while it cannot attack you directly, it can launch fighter drones which you will have to contend with. So this should be more than just a simple intercept, keep it from moving and shoot the hell out of it type thing.I also have ideas if I can get to where I'm comfortable with the process. I want to make a map pack of my own, call it Modern War. The idea is to dispense with the mages, archers, basically medieval stuff, and simulate war in a modern setting. I've looked at the docs for the scripts that come with the game, and you can do some really advanced stuff with them. For instance, I could make tanks that required someone to drive them that wouldn't be able to move on their own without someone in them. You can turn multiple units into one unit, so if you had 8 soldiers, you could turn them into one company or something like that. I also want to add tactical advantages , implement a special move or special action point that allows you to navigate to the rooftop. From the roof top, a sniper would get a nice sight increase, and so on. I would also implement a skill that would let the other team have to use it to reveal a sniper's position. This would simulate actively looking, because let's face it, people don't generally look up. I don't know if this would work well or not with the AI, probably not though so I might have to rethink this particular idea. I want to allow different classes, such as engineer who could assemble small structures, like, OK, if you take an engineer to a hilltop, then have him assemble a big mounted machine gun that someone had to get in to use, etc. Also one of the types of soldiers would be able to protect non-combat oriented classes like engineers or medics so they can do their work.

Well, I just heard the podcast and gotta say, I'm looking forward to trying this one! Some of the acting could use a little work, but overall it's good... my only major gripe is the lack of complexity in the combat. The first few posts described the game as havng what I thought would be open free range combat which is typical for most mainstream games, but this is the same hear and react approach, which s disappointing.

There's some behinds the scenes work on better integration with the premium content area, but I had to comment that off since Amazon hasn't rolled out their monetization stuff yet. Most of the rest was stuff that hasn't surfaced or bug fixes."About mission" and "About location" should work better now, at least on Google Home. Surface location descriptions are now more context aware, and take into account what direction you entered from.

Hmm, maybe a challenge for someone feeling particularly torturous?Complete the whole game on a single set of lives/default stats?

Hi,I wouldnt suggest the Brailleme to be honest, it could really really use some improvement, considering the orbit reader and the braillme costs about the same, however the features they offer are night and day.Choice is well and good, and even though I cant seem to get access to a orbit reader being sold anywhere, upon contacting the autharised reseller for my country, first they had no clue what it was despite the announcement on their bloody website (well done,I say!),and later I was told it was out of stock and it has been so ever  sinse.Upon contacting the braillme guys with a few questions and suggestions I had, the reply I got back was for me to semd them my name and address so that they could prepare a invoice and send the invoice to me,after the payment of which it would be shipped with a few hurried responces to my questions.fun fact, the device supports files upto only 40kb, can only read files from root,will ignore subfolders and files in them, and quite a few other things that I forget.All this I gathered by reading their manual and hardly a reply to questions asking to reconfirm.I get it that being cheap braille displays they cant offer features such as those of the other braille displays that cost enough to buy a few cars,but if you consider the 2 displays out there (inavailability of the orbit reader not withstanding) choosing between the orbit reader and the brailleme is a no brainner.Grryf

Hello everyone,Today's new release 0.1.3 contains the following.Fixed bug in NVDA Screenreader entrypoint issues.Fixed bug reloading binaural dsp when stopping sounds.Fixed Credits in ScreenManager.Fixed Map indication sound issues with sound positioning.Modified wooden footstep sounds running, walking, crouching.Also after this release.I will be releasing update files.Simply because they are not that big to download.I asume that everyone in this topic will know how to replace old files with new ones.So i wont have to create a patching system for it.As usually you will just simply download the update package extract it then copy and replace it in the main folder.lAgain this will be started from release 0.1.4Please test it out, and let me know if you encounter bugs.Also i have added some sounds for attacking objects.But i have not added this to the changelog since it needs more work.You can hear this when left clicking on the radio in the main map.The download link can be found in the first post.Regards,XSense

you are understanding me wrong. the game opens successfully but after the logo, when retrieving the message of the day, the game freezes and stop running.btw, I installed a windows 10 pro system in my another hdd and tried from that, the game works successfully.however, I can't use the game with my currently windows 10 home single language 64 bit version.awaiting your helps guys.
