The limit for the SB3 in both digital and analog out is 24/48 it's a
hardware limit afaik you can not fix that, if 24/96 digital out is
needed I sugest getting a squeezebox Touch, then sbs wont transcode.

Hmm if it only is stereo tracks ? The plain DVD(V) standard supports 2ch
24bit up to 192k PCM track.
i have some of those discs.
This oportunity is only abused by some audiophile disc labels, a
mastering of a movie must be way more economical with the quite limited

AES-EBU is it not the worst input/output to use , you don't have to
believe me just do a forums search on Seans opinion of AES-EBU when he
designed the TP.
