latest (beta) F/W. K3support told me a few weeks ago that it is in the

Looks like you have to switch OFF the bias. Use Main Menu item MIC SEL to
do that
If the MH2 works OK that means Bias is ON now. For the Heil ProSet (with #4
or #5 dyn. element) you might need the HI range mic gain (you can set that
in the same menu). See p.51 of the Owner's Manual
In Europe you could use a OA-02 which is a germanium
diode.

On 40m SSB I have noticed a fault condition with my KPA100. On power cycle or
mode change, if the power control is not set to maximum, but set so the KPA100

I notice an intermittent rx sensitivity on my K2, Serial-Nr.
488, after changing band eg. from 20 to 40 and vice versa. After
pushing tune or transmitting a couple of dots the sensitivity

pin 8 is strange - 5V always (receive and transmit)
I could not find a bridge somewhere on my board causing the 5V on pin 8.
It looks like output of my Firmware chip is defect.
This means I have to replace in my K2 Firmware chip and U6 :-(

is in a very tiny package, which seems to be color coded, but no clue as to
what the colors mean..

Hi folks.
I just picked up an MFJ 434 Voice Keyer which I would like to use with my K2 in
an upcoming contest. I'm sure some of you have done this. What jumper settings
did you use?

Oops ... in my previous post regarding use of the MFJ 434 voice keyer with my
K2, I probably should have noted that I am currently set up to use the Elecraft
Heil MD2 microphone. Now ... what internal jumpers in the MFJ unit might be
best? Thanks again.
