Just got my KPA-1500, and it seems to work great except that the ATU BYP
light is always illuminated. The ATU operates normally when I light the
IN light with the ATU Mode switch and apply drive. I can't find

Put a brand new Duracell in my XG3, and the output level as measured on
HPSDR actually went down a dB, so I guess my question is still
unanswered - is there any way to adjust the output level of an XG3?

I guess I wasn't clear - when I see this overpower/fault combination,
the sloper is matched around 1.2:1, it's just that output power and
current draw jump up to fault levels, so a retune wouldn't help

Precisely what I thought, Jim. The KPA-1500 already adjusts the K3's
output power when the amp switches to OPER, from 100 watts in STBY to a
preset, much lower value in OPER, but I don't know if they can store and
recall drive power levels by band and antenna

antenna by antenna? K6XX's video seems to demonstrate 6 widely
different antennas with very different matching solutions required, all
producing the same power output for the same drive (unless, of course,
the K4 is better in this respect).
