I don't remember offhand, it was over a year ago, but I think I may have gotten
the link from the files at the FCRF yahoo group they have to give fluids all
the time so some good advice and links on there. you can google it and check
prices, you may need a script for the fluids

sub-q fluids
Maureen,
I never use those “ horse” needles for cats; I prefer the 20x1”, and often use
18x1” as well – it may take a little bit longer, but goes in a lot easier,
especially for kittens. Some cats have tough skin, and others have super soft
skin and the needle just glides right

If still sealed in the sterile bag, check the expiration date.
Once the sterile bag is opened, keep the fluids refrigerated. I only keep
an opened bag for one week, always refrigerated and always do my best to
keep it sterile. The biggest problem is contamination and bacterial

You've got it right. You use a bag for hydration, (not IV, IV means
into the vein), because they need more fluid than what you could fit
into a syringe. Once a cat that is dehydrated figures out how much
better they feel after they get fluids, they usually settle down and
accept the process,

Cricket could use the extra fluids.
